Re: Racing Metro Paris at Nottingham

Away from the game, the ref and random scrum decisions; - Thought the City Ground was easy to get to. Easy to park - Struggled to get a pint as the pubs were packed- nice Doom Bar from a barrel outside the rowing club. - Awful seats! £45 to sit at ground level, in the corner, behind the posts? Reall...

Re: Ticket prices

Bought 5# £45 tickets for this weekend on the Tigers website and I am sure at that point the site was saying that £45 tickets were located in the side stands at the ends (22m to try line) where I prefer to sit. When the tickets came I found we are sitting behind the sticks! I visited the NF web sit...

Re: Ticket prices

£35 for a semi final I'm just about okay with. £60 is rather steep. Twickenham is hideously overpriced. Saints are now taking the mickey. Tigers may be pushing their luck too much with a bigger stadium. This sums it up very nicely. +1 Anybody know what a category 5 ticket is? My guess is that you w...

Re: Decent real ale pubs close to City Ground?

Try The Embankment. Good Ale and beautifully restored former Boots Social Club. Walk across the river from Forest and its a black and white timbered building on your left, approx. 200 yards after the river. Maybe 10 mins stroll from the turnstiles. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g18...

Re: Tickets on Sale from 1130 today Monday 11th

Couldn't agree more, I ended up ringing the ticket office as I wanted to know where I was going to be sat.[/quote]

SRR - Did you get a response? Will they allow you to change?
As a Notts County fan, I may turn to ash if I sit in the Trent End

Buying semi tickets

Anyone else struggle? I was on the road so hoped to book by telephone, but it seems the volume of calls was such that you couldnt even get into a queue. Managed to get on line, but although there was a City Ground seating plan, I couldnt see how to select the area to sit. When I put tickets in the b...

Not Bell on the bench either
Agree on Slater. If he plays, play him in position in the second row.
Don't see him as an eight.

Also, YBY looked tired on Saturday. Maybe Harrison with YBY on the bench

Re: Logo banned for 1 week!

Some sympathy for JPD on this one as (and not just because of my 76th minute rant!!) .. Despite my regular one-eyed rants from the Crumbie, I do have sympathy with the refs. Rugby is a complicated game, where lots of big blokes are doing lots of things at the same time (especially in the scrum)and ...

Re: Logo banned for 1 week!

All above are fair points, but from a slightly different angle...

Didn't the Sarries 14 also get binned for a no arm tackle? Whilst he may not quite the size of Logo, is there a degree of inconsistency here? Unless of course he was cited, case reviewed and deemed not worthy of an upgrade.

Re: Logo banned for 1 week!

Ref Saw the incident. Reviewed it extensively with TMO and I think he is included a touch judge in the elongated debate. A considered and discussed decision was "penalty and yellow card". Why is there any need for a stuffed suit to review it again and add further sanction? I could accept t...

Re: Tigers injury update

Yes, I am pretty sure that JDV sat and thought, "after a glittering career, playing all over the world, I think I am going to cap it off in Sunny Leicester 'The Midlands Riviera' sat on my backside after deliberately picking up injuries". At the same time, I bet the club scouts were told t...

Re: Slater called into England squad - Lawes injured!!

Pleased for Slater to know he is in contention, but will probably be back with us. The front row is the real worry Definitely no Rizzo or Cole Unlikely to have Marcus (only 6 days between games not enough for a concussion), OTY (didn't even pretend he may be fit last week), Leo (neck or Italy), Balm...

Re: Marcus Ayerza

I cant imagine how the refs will cope when he retires.
Who will give them the long & technical explanations on the pitch as to what is actually happening in the scrums?
When his retirement does start to come into view, I hope we can sign him up as a scrum coach.
