Re: Ospreys v Tigers

My problem is my heart shouts TIGERS! but my head says 'we have been dull, predictable and uninspired for three years apart from some flashes of genius and a short but fruitless sunny spell'. Potentially we had had a good squad that didn't make it to the AP rostrum, we have strengthened the side IMO...

Re: Farrell

His place kicking's impeccable yes, but his team simply don't score enough tries and you can't rely on international opposition to concede that many soft penalties. IMO it'd be a huge mistake to put all our 6N hopes on a fly half with zero creative vision but that does seem to be the rather gloomy ...

Re: HC quarter-final predictions

Sarries IMO our best chance of progressing to the SF. IF we beat Toulouse.

Re: Ospreys v Tigers

Oh dear Tigers out at WR next week then!! :smt022 Why say such a negative thing, Toulouse lost when they went to Swansea, we get a very creditable draw. The game is there for us to take at home and we are more than capable of doing so. Agree 100%. This was the Ospreys big chance and we held out. On...

Re: Castle Grim to be dropped for RWC2015?

When a 24000 guaranteed sell-out internationally famous stadium is ignored, and idiot venues at football grounds chosen DESPITE the possibility that said grounds could be unavailable - then you knew the WC was going to be a blazers exercise in chucking money and goodwill away. This is expected to ma...

Re: Ospreys v Tigers

So far the script as expected, Rabo ref, ignore all Ospreys offences, penalise all Leicester for even being vaguely like an offence, Ospreys pens - but Biggar forgot his boots! The Gods may smile on us yet.

Re: Players Out Of Contract

Fair point jg, some have pointed out that our on the pitch decisions have been a bit off, shall we say. With more experience on the field from having most of the team involved in the EPS or Saxons and hopefully some with Lions coaching too, my expectations will be up a notch or two for the future. A...

Re: Ospreys v Tigers

Or go on the ERC or PR websites. The team can be posted up a day before (tho sometimes inaccurately in the case of PR).

Re: Players Out Of Contract

1 try stats don't win titles (cf saffacens) 2 many of our crucial tries in crucial games are scored by or via the back row so when they are tied up by another good back row, the tries dry up 3 last years stats were influenced to a degree early season by a move (inside ball off Flood 5-10m out) that ...

Re: Players Out Of Contract

Wrongly criticised? Phooey. No-one has honestly criticised the man who is DOR and coaches the forwards, he's brilliant. He ain't as good as an overall attack bloke, and as an inspired substituter, well......... The bloke who coaches the backs is IMHO not the best, based on the way the backs have pla...

Re: Players Out Of Contract

I don't think I'm mis-quoting Ian Cockerill on Radio L last night; "Anyone with a brain in their head would want MOC to stay at Tigers". There must be a lot of brainless people on this forum then Ian!!! :smt003 I've been brainless for three years then, and so has Tigers attack Plan A &...

Re: Tigers 1st XV disappear to EPS & Saxons

OK they're both fantasy :smt001 Thought the Saxons was more interesting as a side! I do feel the backs for the Saxons is 1 a rag-tag bag of allsorts rather than a rational selection 2 is missing Varndell - inexcusable to not pick the top try scorer especially as his defence now attracts interest for...
