Submissions for new years honours are made well in advance of his run last year, so it was unlikely until next time.

If him staying was realistic we would have re-signed him already given his contract is out at the end of the year. Just because he wants to stay doesn't mean we can actually afford it or compete with anyone else for his signature.

To be fair the leak could be almost anyone, given they had to interview former players & agents from a time period multiple years ago, the majority of which won't be at the club anymore. As for who made the allegation, if it turns out its a valid breach its irrelevant, its justifiable. We aren't...
