Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

Re Ashton. Not sure why we would want him unless there are injuries/departures we don’t know about. Currently I guess first choice in my opinion would be Nadolo and Potter. Besides them we have these who can cover the position quite competently (loosely in some cases) if needed - Moroni, Murimurival...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

This is how it played out in my mind…., Bondi (to SB) - Steve, the fans on the message boards are asking for some contract announcements or new signings SB: I’ll do things my way in the best interests of the club so that is a no, so go away Bondi: Some other clubs have made some announcements recent...

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm

A game we should have won but lost, this was self-inflicted rather than being outplayed. Can’t blame the ref either although a couple of baffling decisions, there isn’t a match when every decision is correct. What we learn (hopefully) is that ~ We can’t afford to make weird selections and substituti...

Not his best game and I know he made some crucial errors, but don’t think we can blame Hegarty for that loss.

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm

I can't but think that Steve was testing players today and it just failed. Hopefully he doesn't too much more of this i. the next few months! I think though we have not been playing well for a month or so. Maybe we are just missing certain players especially back row since and IMHO Ford especially ...

Exactly - when I saw the squad I thought he was there precisely for that eventuality. How can JVP be better at 15 than other options?

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm

Got to look closer at player selection for this game - obviously we don’t know who is injured/available but some strange tactical decisions for this game.

ps - shambolic is not too strong a word. Absolutely melt down this second half.

Don’t know how it can be said we’ve lost this now - still 15 mins to go with 3 points deficit!

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm

Well half time and a mixed half for us - some good some average. Good job Sale aren’t on form. Jury still out on Burns for me. Love him to bits but personally would prefer more consistency and accuracy from the back up 10.

Interesting to see if they switch Hegerty to 10 in the second half.

Re: SALE (A) - Sunday 30th January 2022 - 3-00pm

Nadolo has been injured, so I guess he is now working on match fitness. Murimurivalu has played in recent matches so may just be a break for him. Moroni (unless he is injured too) doesn’t seem to have had that many minutes recently suggesting SB prefers Scott and Kelly with Moroni deputising as and ...

Re: Exeter Chiefs to rebrand for next season

I too expect the chant to remain, but the club (Exeter) need to ban the headdresses and tomahawks appearing. If I remember correctly they have (had) a Tomahawk Bar or some sort of catering equipment at Sandy Park.

Might well be unfair to lay this at SB’s door, but I still remember him picking up a nickname of The Prince Of Darkness when he first came in.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls

I suspect the lack of any announcements is more due to the salary cap stuff, not a great look announcing big signings in the middle of an investigation Maybe - but those issues (if there were any) were described as ‘historic’ so one would hope they wouldn’t affect any current or future negotiations.
