Re: Cockers
Bill - what exactly were you hoping to achieve by this thread? You are very quick to ask the mods to remove duplicate topics when it pleases you, and yet here you go starting a thread that is surely a duplicate of at least 2 others, probably more. Whatever way you choose to dress it up with the sarc...

Re: Cockers
Yes bwightman! I absolutely agree with you. It is very easy for all the so-called experts on this Fans Forum to have a critical attack on our Director of Rugby and Head Coach. Yes - our results may not have been as good as we would have liked but do the vitriolic outbursts aimed at RC and MOC on thi...

Re: Cockerill's future
Maybe I should have said "....4th match in 17 days, which had already resulted in injuries to key players such as Manu and Deacon." Effective squad rotation is only possible when you have a fit squad to pick from. When key players are injured, you have to go with what you've got. Sitting b...

Re: Cockerill's future
I really do think that our performance last weekend and at other times this season can be layed more at the players feet than the coaches. The coaches will take the team through training all week, select the best, fit and available for the match and warm them up for the challenge ahead. The players ...

Re: Billy's off...
Agree with that! Austin's past is fact, whereas Billy's future is purely speculation. I am a tad biased here regarding Oz; I think he was a great player, and is a really good bloke. His sense of humour, which was often mis-understood and earned him the "Leicester Lip" nickname, is somethin...

Re: Season Ticket Sales
Divingrob worte: I think next season aren't U18's free when you buy a season ticket? bit likt the U10's this season. Unfortunately not. When I saw this comment I contacted the Ticket Office and they said that the Junior Prices for the coming season applied to U18s, but they were certainly not free. ...

Re: New fly-half
Andy Goode would be welcomed back by me at least. He is highly unlikey to get an International Call-up, and the sales of pies in the city would be a welcome boost to the local economy.

Re: Billy's off...
I'm not sure if anyone else heard the interview with Cockers just after the match yesterday. (We had to leave at 70 mins as my daughter was going babysitting and caught the Radio Leicester interview.) Richard said that he had a meeting with Billy on Monday and at the end of it he was under the impre...

Re: Julian White
I was at Ravenhill last Friday and Julian was warming up with the team before the game but was not on the team sheet. He was on my side of the pitch and still appears to maintain his fitness and I am sure he would still intimidate any front-row. The man is a Tigers legend and should be honoured when...

Re: Items that should be in the shop
I totally agree that the University Scarves and the cushions need to be re-instated. If they [Kitbag] are concerned about the amount of space they may take up in the new shop, why not have them as mail-order only? The new shop seems to have many items that are non-Tigers related and just simply rugb...

Re: Ulster Away - Travelling
Rizzo SUFTUM simply stands for "Stand Up For The Ulster Men", as quoted earlier in this Topic. This is their song and is sung to the tune of the Village People's "Go West..." Those in the Stands at Ravenhill all stand up when it is sung. I was at Ravenhill a couple of years ago t...

Re: The return of mister grumpy
The decision by the merchandising company, Kitbag, to remove/not stock items that have been in the shop for many years. I am referring here to the Seat Cushions and University style Tigers scarves. Apparently they have decided that there is "no market" for them. Strange that when you see s...

Re: University Scarves
No market? Eh - how have they come to that conclusion? The University Scarves are timeless and a great many people wear them. Yes, they don't change or wear out and therefore you would only buy another if you lost yours or damaged or stained it. I have one and am very glad I have. First it was the s...

Re: Ulster Away - Travelling
I'll be there on the Terrace, standing up with 3 Ulster Men. In case you are not aware, Ravenhill is not a very big ground, less than 13,000 I believe. So we need as many Tigers fans there as possible to drown out the incessant SUFTUM!

Pitch size should be irrelevant. As Isambard says, surely its all about practice.
