Re: Nottingham Rugby Club
Nottingham's troubles started in the 90s before professionalism. They were on the slide whem my son started in the u12s. They had a golden core of juniors but no development structure and a county/region only interested in selecting independent school boys. The grounds were worth far more as housing.

Yep. I looked at it and wept the last time I was down there. Some great memories when my lads were playing.

Probably speaking too soon.... but I, also, think he's very much improved. He was 'dodgy' in the beginning that's for sure! I agree with this. There are certainly far worse and I would be happy to have him ref Tigers at the moment. .....just not against Quins! I thought he only became dodgy after t...

Re: Central contracts
Be interesting to know if the central contract runs for the same length of time as the club contract. I recall Jonah Holmes being enticed away to further his Welsh career, join Newport Gwent Dragons on a club + Wales contract, then Wales decide Jonah is surplus to requirement and suddenly the guy i...

Re: Matt Hampson Calendar 2024
They're not doing them. Last year they struggled to get it all organised and it was all done very late and this year they have taken the decision not to do them. I understand that the feeling was it would only be a matter of time before the fun police put a stop to it. And there's me hoping they'd ...

Re: Leicester Tigers Women 2023/24 - Vicky Macqueen in 'The Magnificent Fifteen'
It takes a season to mould a side from what is essentially scratch (at this level). The team by the end of the season won't look like it does now, and hopefully will have a collected a couple of wins.

Re: Leicester Tigers Women 2023/24 - Vicky Macqueen in 'The Magnificent Fifteen'
Just need to say on FB some 'supporters' made misogynistic and demeaning comments about Rocky Clark. It's not banter, it's vile. And I am not a 'melt' or a 'snowflake' for objecting to this. Nobody should speak about a female, let alone rugby star, in that way. Women's rugby is growing. I teach seve...

Re: News story on concussion
Football back in the leather-ball days would probably have even worse brain injury stats (if you're old enough to remember heading a wet case ball), especially when you note how many pro footballers got various types of dementia as they aged. However we don't have the luxury of introducing a light b...

What would posters reaction be to Matt Smith being made permanent attack coach. He has had as much time in the game as Vesty or Walder and plenty of experienced coaches around him Potentially a good fit, but we’d need to see some options. Smithy had a few tricks when he played if I remember rightly...

Actually.. having looked it up.. he was cited after the match against Ospreys not carded at the time .. I think it was one of those reckless rather than deliberate actions and he got banned .. a warning to all to stay away from the face I was there. He rubbed the hooker's (Hibbard) face with dirt, ...

Cor blimey, I fancied a trip to Gloucs, went to buy a seating ticket, £71.50 plus got to get there. No thank you. Yeah... we live quite close to Kingsholm, i fancied taking my little boy. He is too small for standing really. Not economically viable unfortunately. This is part of the reason why Chie...
