Re: Cipriani

Do you think Cipriani would have performed as well as Ford has this season if you swapped the teams they were playing in? And would Ford have got player of the season if he was in the Gloucester team? No to the first, and definitely yes to the second. Cipriani is a gifted player. He has class, and ...

Re: Tigers vs Bath

Fingers crossed we can pull something out of the bag for Smithy's last game. To be honest I wasn't planning on going until he announced his retirement, hopefully it'll give the boys something to play for. I'm sorry if I appear negative, but the threat of relegation didn't appear to motivate most of...

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

Same old excuses. If they aren't fit enough then as pro players they aren't committed enough, and judging on some of the defending this season I'd say that's a fair comment. What does anyone really expect when they sacked Cockerill, too demanding! Some of this lot don't know what a hard days work i...

Re: All Coaches except Boris must go now..

In my humble opinion, sackings and resignations are unnecessary amongst the coaching staff, and a bit of shuffling would be more beneficial. and in the interests of stability. What's needed is a new broom. Mike Ford could fill that role. Doesn't have to be popular, that may be half the problem, but ...

Re: Wuss safe - it's Tigers or Falcons

Don't worry about what others do. Its down to Tigers to get a "W" from Quins or Barff. If we don't - then we deserve to go down. Answer - make sure we get a "W". Well done Wuss - Well done Brissol + me also. I have to listen to wendyball supporters shouting up, or down, others i...

Re: Mike Ford

I believe Murphy’s first objective is to to turn Welford Road into a fortress, and just take away games as they come. Apart from Worcester, Northampton and Exeter, we have either won or only just lost. His vision surely is pretty clear... return Tigers to the top echelons of English and European Ru...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th April 2019

As I have said before, watch other games, all teams do.Ford was brilliant and Barnes stops the watch on any occasion he sees players trying to run it down. If you watched the Exeter v Wasps game today, Wasps knew their ref wasn’t going to stop the game like Barnes and there were lots of times they ...

He had another great game. Controlled it very well, and led the side well. I liked, and I don't know whether many people saw it, the reaction of his dad on the final whistle. I got the impression there's a good deal of commitment there.

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th March 2019

I mentioned it yesterday Coleshilad. There's huge pressure on Newcastle too,we have the 5 point buffer. They lose and it's as good as over if Wuss beat Sale as I think they will. We need a great start and early points. ...................and 80 minutes of complete effort, and 15 men on the field, s...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th March 2019

The Falcons are, if anything, points wise, in a worse position than Tigers. What's barely been mentioned is that you can talk about team sheets and individual players as much as you like, but this situation means that when the final whistle blows, the points will go to the players who want them most.

Re: Tigers v Chiefs

Let's hope we don't go down by a point because I reckon we would've got a TBP today most likely! Let's hope TY is banned for the rest of the season too! I agree. The red card could be a blessing in disguise. The team on the field is rudderless, and and it's been like that for some time. That's what...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs

You can't blame just the coaches. They can only work with what they've got. The gulf between the two teams is enormous. Let's face it, This result must have been expected. Far more chance of picking up points in the forthcoming games. There's nothing wrong with optimism, but today, it was misplaced..

Re: Mike Ford is joining/WRU block Edwards bid/Glynn getting sacked

The pecking order with coaches shouldn't be a problem at the moment. I would hope the focus is getting as many points as possible before the season ends, to secure the premiership to start with, and restoring some confidence and pride. I think any pecking order between Murphy and Ford isn't necessar...
