Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness is very picturesque.

What's that one on the sea loch north of Fort William? It's on a little island. It's always on postcards and stuff.

Google image search for them will sort you out.

The Friendly Derby?

Wasn't it nice to see Reina give Johnson a congratulatory hug after he'd scored the third goal on Saturday. And to think they say football is losing it's sportsmanship! I was like a pig in the proverbial on Saturday.....we bounced out the ground singing and hugging people, nothing compares to a derb...

My daughter is 16 and all of those apply. I may forward this to her, although she is far too sensible and will behave herself and be back in on time! It must be a nightmare having a daughter...I'm sure the snot nosed little urchins she brings home will be able to fool her and her mum but we were si...

Going to the other end of the island, did anyone hear David Healy being interviewed on R5 this morning about his hat trick? I couldn't make sense of a single word. Apart from the accent, he seemed to be speaking very softly through a sponge. That really WAS annoying. Did you really need to hear wha...

Ah but think of my mate (girl) who got the opposite experience. Had what she thought was a one-off bit of illicit whatsername with a married colleague. Not only did he hang around but when he did leave he returned with his suitcase having told his wife he was leaving her. *Chortle*...tremen...

I think we're going have to agree to disagree on this point, Orla. Perhaps I should have a t-shirt printed saying 'WARNING - Grumpy Old Man. If your child cannot behave itself, keep it away from me!' On the back you can print "Or I'll mash him/her into a wall and then boast about it on ...

True enough. In my programming days we would routinely got to The Hearty Goodfellow in Nottingham at lunchtime, cram down as many pints as we could within the hour, (quite a few) and go back and carry on working. No one was badly behaved, no one turned out poor programmes, and no one complained. Th...

Yes we all know you shouldn't lay a finger on the little darlings these days. That's why all the children of Britian are growing up to be nice, peace loving, responsible, clever, constructive, beautiful people. Not. Nope, I'm right on this one, End of arguement. It's not on throwing your weight aro...

That's team building in the real world and it doesn't require anyone to say what type of biscuit they would be. POST OF THE DAY! The are of the Great British liquid lunch is being lost to us nowadays. I remember when I'd just started we used to go really regularly. We scoped where the director woul...
