Re: Clermont Auvergne v Leicester

The most embarrassing match since Ulster Forget the last ten minutes, Clermont totally switched off. Out muscled up front, Deacon and Parling are just are not strong enough, thats the worst bit. So no amount of effort from the front three who were chasing shadows... As for the backs, Tuilagi and Mau...

Re: And the new Goode/Varndell is here!

Apologies to Master Amorosino, I obviously got it wrong ( very early thread). His tackling needs a lot of attention but I was reminded by a friend of Les Cusworth's deficiences , and we wouldnt have swopped him for the world. This result will give our youngsters, and Lucas, an enormous lift and let u...

Re: And the new Goode/Varndell is here!

He is frightened of contact and is a liability under the high ball. You either have bottle or you dont. It cannot be coached into you. So unless this leopard changes his spots , he is always going to have detractors. But if any Club is capable of really hardening him up, then he is at the right plac...

Re: Probably the Best Value Foriegn Acquisition yet

Hamilton is certainly a superb acquisition, at least the last i/c did one thing right.
Others---- Pat H, Jaco, Kronfeld, Geordan, Ayerza, Castro , Julian ..........

But the bad buys outweigh the good ones!

Re: The orange one. (Gavin Henson)

Irrespective of his hairstyle and tan, he happens to be possibly the very best and most intuiative inside-centre on planet earth. Leicester , and Cockerill could
be the making of him. Well worth a punt, IMHO

Re: Johne Murphy

Not his greatest day, but he has been a superb asset to us and rivals Vesty for inventiveness and vision.Get a sprint coach to increase his short term pace and he would be a complete footballer.

Re: Stephen Jones

His career is nearly over and we would be mental to sign him, and if he and O'Gaga are the best fly halves in Great Britain we really do have a problem in South Africa. Both are petrified in the face on tackle area and from the Tigers viewpoint there would be at least four better options for a third ...

Re: Tigers who are Lions

I have it on top notch authority that Croft was considered a couple of stones too light to impose himself on the Springbok behemoths. A lot of creatine and some more naughty substances to bulk up then.........

Re: MATT SMITH-Will he return

Where will he fit in---he does not offer anything in the centre and our wings are fine---I felt he was part of the problem with the total lack of fluency of our backs in the HM era and the fact he played in all the matches where we achieved precisely nothing in terms of back play surely proves that ...

Re: Which Glaws players would you like Tigers sign? If any......

Apparantly the only back he wants to keep is the nightmare called Balshaw !! Suggest it might be the coaching thats the problem, not necessarily the players. If any were available, Somerville, plus the two Pacific Islanders to keep ours happy, and Simpson Daniel who would bloom in a Tigers shirt! IMHO
