Re: Leicester Tigers Women 2023/24 - Vicky Macqueen in 'The Magnificent Fifteen'

I see the women's Allianz Cup fixture isn't included in the season ticket. I understand the club needs the extra money, but it'll be interesting to see what the attendance is.

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

Planning permission was declined. Not in my back yard. Do you know that for certain or was there an issue with the planning application. I don’t know the answer but how hard have they worked with the local council to submit a suitable application I've just looked. There isn't a planning application...

Law 10 , 4c An offside player may be penalised, if that player: Was in front of a team-mate who kicked the ball and fails to retire immediately behind an onside team-mate or an imaginary line across the field 10 metres on that player’s side from where the ball is caught or lands , even if it hits a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

CCS seems to have made some big strides over the last 12 months, he is the subject of the latest wear the rose, wasn’t aware he had been in New Zealand between the ages 4 and 18. Quins playing him at 6 because of Dombrant, so a move to 8 could be of interest to him Unless it's recently been announc...

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

You didn't find anything about their partnerships with local grassroots clubs? Partnerships with Aussie Shute Shield teams? Partnership with Brunel University? Their development of the women's game? Presentation of a phased development plan to support their Premiership application, rather than a sh...

Re: How to end kick tennis

Agree with mol2 Yet another law that was changed, to the detriment of the game It used to be when the ball is kicked anyone in front of the kicker must retreat until put onside by the kicker or someone behind.. … this not only creates space for a runner in broken field choosing to counter attack bu...

Re: Next seasons season ticket

I wait with baited breath but I feel that any rise in season ticket price with some 30% less premiership games and the mickey mouse premiership cup some folks may given the cost of living crisis decide that their season ticket(s) is a luxury they can no longer justify. How many games do you need a ...

ay2oh wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 12:30 pm My season ticket has gone up very little in the past 5-6 years so I have no problem paying more. My guess would be an increase of 5-10%.
I think that figure is hopeful. I think we'll be lucky to see 10% at the lower bracket.

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

There is a certain irony that the Prem want well run, sustainable clubs with a good, local fanbase and the first requirement for promotion requires that they either enter debt to buy or build a new ground or sell an essential asset to move to a rented ground and potentially move away from the local...

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

As usual some very interesting points made. Ealing and their owner are obviously ambitious, I do feel their fan base might be an issue. Yes Tigers were missing most of their big stars, but an Ealing win would have got them a home final in a National competition you would hope that would have attrac...

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

There are IMO a lot of pro's and con's to Ealing I think personally I'd like to know the strategy post their current owner. He's 86 or 87 I think now and what that future plan is for me more important than when will the pitch be replaced. I think if the succession plan is good and there is enough c...

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby

What did Exeter do right? They got right to the top of Europe from that level. Perhaps Ealing had no history? shrewd signings and an incredible crop of players coming through at the same time Good timing - at the time when the Championship benefitted from regular TV coverage. Investment from their ...

Council said No find out why and reapply with necessary amendments If you’re serious long term you integrate the youngsters don’t sign Billy Twelvetrees and Lloyd Williams. I agree with your point about the moneymen Point is he appears to be looking for short term fixes not a long term strategy, yo...
