Re: One & half seasons into one.

Add one more to that. We've been given a potential advantage over those still fighting for top 4. Experiment, learn, give experience and be fresh for 20/21.

Crazy situation though.

Re: Julian Montoya

I would expect Montoya joining would mean someone else leaving. Four international hookers would be crazy unless Tom Youngs wants to take a step back. How is Kerr going to feel? He must be desperate for more game time at this stage in his career. Perhaps he'll be allowed to look at other opportuniti...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

Under current guidelines, they would need to enforce socially distanced queuing at the bars outside, or seat service. Any bars inside would only be able to open if they can do table/seat service only. However, you would expect that when fans are allowed in, those guidelines will be relaxed further.

Sorry everyone, but according to these rumours JMH will not be coming for at least one more year. Sacre bleu!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Montoya would be an excellent signing. Top top player. I would be delighted to see him in a Tigers shirt. Enever? Never heard of him, so I'll reserve judgement. A lot of our best signings have been lesser known Southern hemisphere players so i wouldn't write him off just because he hasn't got many c...

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

I hope players realise they’re lucky to have a job, a very well paid job, even if they are having to be on a lower wage. Some people are less fortunate. Cutting your cloth accordingly is something a fair amount of people are not used to nowadays. Maybe it’s time some people sorted their priorities ...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

It makes absolute sense to have fans in reduced numbers. Once they are in their seats it's an incredibly low risk situation, it's just getting them there that will be more challenging. Perhaps staggered, pre-booked, arrival times for ticket holders to avoid congestion. Not too complicated to do a st...

A good piece of business , I believe.
Sounds like they're getting him on a higher salary long term contract so 25% of it is exempt from salary cap when the reduction comes into force.

We should definitely ban Amazing Grace. It makes light of blindness. Disgraceful.

Maybe we should just ban words in general, to be on the safe side?

I'd love to watch that, but I don't understand how there is room for more matches in the calendar.

Welsh anthem 'Delilah' could be next ...... https://www.rugbypass.com/news/welsh-anthem-delilah-could-be-next-rugby-song-to-face-axe-for-being-offensive/ I kind of get this one, the idea of singing a song about stabbing a woman for cheating on you is a bit odd - particularly at a rugby match. Re Goneva to Stade Montois: hindsight always crystal clear...although probably past his peak when he left us the trade off for JP Pietersen was one bad piece of business An awful piece of business. But I don't know how/why he left - he stayed at Tigers longer than any other club, perhaps he's just ...

Re: World Calendar seems closer

I'm in favour of rugby remaining a winter sport. However, the argument that this should be the case simply because that's how it's always been is a bit weak. Rugby is better off for having a strong southern hemisphere game, if we can find a way to compromise and help them then we should at least con...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

I hope the rumours are not true, but you could understand if they were. Both are players who could probably get more than they're currently on, even before a 25% pay cut so it would be pretty surprising if they hadn't at least explored other options. If I was asked to take a 25% pay cut, the first t...
