I suppose its difficult for the players to really get up for this game, they are professionals and will want to win but it doesn't really mean anything for us. Whereas for Stade it means everything.
Still hopefully Cockers will tear into them at half time and inspire a turnaround!

Re: Quarter finals for the ECC.
We could go all out and try to go for a bonus point win and a huge score, the likelihood of overhauling Sarries is low but if we could pull it off it would mean they would have to deal with Racing/Toulon in the semi.
Unlikely I know but all pressure off us now so may as well give it a shot.

Re: Team for Stade?
Could we see JDV on the bench this week? Must have recovered from his broken jaw by now?

Re: Tigers v Munster
Good all round performance but a bit disappointed with taking the points towards the end instead of going for the BP and with Bell kicking away possession to no good advantage. I would say taking the points was 100% the right choice. If we had gone for the corner and failed to get the score and the...

Re: Tigers v Munster
Get the win next week and a home quarter final is ours, happy days :D
Mauger has made a huge difference, he's obviously been able to get the players excited something that Cockers couldn't do on his own last year. I think this could be a very good year for us

Re: How sensitive are TV audiences?
So there is no reason for the TV Companies to wait until the last minute to schedule game. :smt027 Well TV Companies also want to be showing the games that matter so they can't pick all the games they want to show at the start of the season. Look at the football this year, pre season no TV company ...

Re: Bonus Points?
Apart from Exeter away where should we have picked up bonus points? Not many teams will put 4 tries past Quins or Wasps this year and London Irish was the first competitive game of the season with a load of new players and new management. We are winning games and playing well, give it time and the b...

Re: Exeter
Just a bit slow at the moment, not enough speed and intensity to draw the errors and penalties from exeter. 10 points is nothing though and with a bit of impact off the bench and a little geeing up at half time theres no reason we can't win this. Just need to start smashing the breakdown and we will...

Best start to a season since 2008, if we end the year in the same way as we did then I think everyone will be pretty happy!

Re: JDV
Is it short sighted? We have quite a few young players in his position, what better way for them to progress by training alongside one of the best and getting his insight into their game?

Not a huge surprise considering all the jobs they are cutting atm, can't exactly be seen to be throwing money at Tigers whilst dumbing hundreds onto the unemployment line.

Re: Robshaw vindicated
We would both have been on 11 points and as things stand England would have the better points difference. So yes taking the 3 points would have put us in the 1/4 finals against South Africa
