Re: Romain Poite

There is such a thing as a false negative test result. They usually have an extra official at matches to cover injuries. Whatever Poite was suffering someone could've stepped in. Actually I think he'd have needed to test negative twice to have been officiating the game. Any test has 3 outcomes, pos...

Re: European competitions

This might be a controversial idea but with the increases in cases in England and France. Both European Semifinals will have 2 English teams playing 2 French teams. Yet all 4 matches mean a team will be travelling abroad. Plus possibly 2 more for the finals. If the European competitions were to be r...

Re: Romain Poite

Completely agree, there's no way he'd have been in charge of any game after showing symptoms unless he'd tested negative since having symptoms. We're in cold season now, a cough is not covid all the time. Key is he will have followed the protocols applied to him.

Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

I would guess that Taufua has a knock and isn't likely to be able to do a full 80 at 100% intensity. I would seriously hope he isn't on the bench because of fitness. If he isn't fit he should be getting treatment, resting or rehabbing. There is such a thing as fit enough to do 40 minutes. I think p...

Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

Here I go again. Footballing 10, footballing 12, crash ball 13 Ford, Henry, Nadolo? Plus that's a left amf right footed kicking option.... OK... Prop's logic. Potter on wing I take it? Don’t know about Henry at 12 tbf I agree, we've finally found a decent back up to 10 and people want him to move t...

Re: European competitions

I've got a feeling that the French clubs may struggle a bit this weekend, they're a lot fewer matches into their restart, I'm certainly hopeful that Castre will struggle, but I expect a couple of surprises in French clubs losing...

Re: A question.

On the risk of verging off into politics too much. My proposal Limiting factors as to why people can't get tests seems to be logistics of getting the test itself NOT lab capacity. (This is only from what I've read). This is because they only are staffing very few test centres outside of hotspots. To...

Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

If Porter has failed his HIA then I'd like to see Van Wyk in the squad, just need to decide on what combination of positions to go with now..

Re: Kobus Van Wyk

I think the main thing is getting him settled here as well, especially as Mrs VW is due to give birth shortly..the Oval Park creche is going to be busy. Be good to get him on the park this season, but not imperative unless we beat Castres... He may well need to play 13 as the back 3 from Sunday loo...

Kobus Van Wyk

Latest club update in Kobus was here: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/leicester-tigers-news-tom-youngs-4494118.amp However a couple of days ago someone on here suggested his Instagram was saying he was on his way (I don't have Instagram so can't check, if anyone can quote t...

Re: Team vs Saints

Hypothetically: what would the performance & result have been before lockdown? :smt017 Well a team in 4th vs team in 11th, us without Henry Scott Porter Potter Liebenberg The likes of Steward wouldn't have had a game time the circumstances have given our team may have been. Assume Ford picked u...

Re: Team vs Saints

I'll take that half time score, especially considering the fact nearly a quarter of it was only 13 men.

Key is now to complete an 80 minute performance
