Re: Ackford stands by accusation.

It is fair to say we watch a considerable amount of rugby in our household. Most of the time on Sky the commentary is fine but when we watch Tigers we, as a family, spend as much time either wishing Barnes would shut up or just watching it without the sound on. He is one eyed, IMO, when it comes to ...

Re: We're all going to become limbless Daleks.

Kinny makes a fine point (as ever). As my boys are now fast approaching the end of their high school days I am hoping the "elf & Safety" police will disappear from their lives a bit. From my point of view they have been brought up playing rugby from age 4 (when that was allowed) as wel...

Ticket office

Having had a change of plans happily making space to attend the final I picked the phone up this morning in hope that I could get a few tickets (me and the boys) for the game. Have to say the guy who answered the call, Paul, was top class. Really happy and helpful and just wanted to record that on h...

Re: Manu

Having been unable to get the WR we sat and watched the game on Sky. In real time, which the ref (who was following play and unsighted) and the assistant were working in it looked on first viewing that Manu received a knee to the back and punch to the head as he was getting up (from tackle off the b...

Hearts & Heroes

I know there are a few of these on here but if anyone could help out it would be very much appreciated...... One of my friends is doing a 12-hour walking or running challenge across a 29-mile section of the picturesque Southern Upland Way in the Scottish Borders. The challenge is being held in aid o...

Re: Things to do on a nice day

Brilliant weekend. Watched my U16s (with mini spike the elder) play a touring side from South Wales, Saturday lunch time and then refereed our seniors v Belpher (was very hot!!) and on Sunday morning attended the U14s awards morning (with mini spike the younger). Phone shopping and spot of gardening...

Re: Olympics

I share the view of "The pub landlord" on the Olympics.

"it's going to be a bit........ really"

Costs a fortune and the legacy, well that will be another roundyball ground then.

Well done to Oakham

Just like to record a well done to Oakham Under 10s for their win in the Prima Cup. http://www.leicestertigers.com/news/16690.php Our club plays host to local rounds of this tournament. As it's been a while since I was involved in mini age group rugby and I had a free weekend when our heats were on ...

Re: GEORGE CHUTER - CLUB SPIRIT

There are things in the Leicester club you cannot buy; you cannot buy the ethos, the history and the spirit. - S.Barnes esq. I believe Cockers said the very same thing previously. The spirit this club has makes it very special, all the players and coaches buy into this and add to it. Ok, not the wi...

He set the scene for all of this back in the games against the classic All Blacks and the Springboks.

That must be try of the season material.

Re: tigers in norfolk

Firstly, welcome to forum and indeed to Norfolk. There are seemingly a lot of Tigers supporters in this neck of the woods. They are still our closest premiership club. My home club plays host to Tigers Summer Rugby Course for young players during the summer holiday as does North Walsham and we also ...

Re: SOTW ring tone

Or the easy version - plug blackberry into laptop, copy any music file to memory card. Open media menu - set as ring tone. No desktop software which updates every 32 and a half minutes (ishop or whatever), music is truly portable between devices and I don't need another app for it to work..... Might...

Re: Do U Twitter ???

Use Twitter and Facebook. Twitter more for networking with other coaches / rugby stuff. Facebook started as a way to keep a tab on the mini spikes but it was / is a great way to quickly keep in touch with people you want to. It is also a very good way to find out things if needed. Facebook is now a ...
