Re: Goldsmith Player of the Month (September)

I can't vote either 'cos I refuse to use Facebook - but it seems to be, on the Tigers web news, between YBY, Salvi and Burns.

Re: Cowan punch

iirc, both Manu and Ashton got yellow carded because, at the time, the play and the ref were away from the incident. The only report to the ref was that they had both been fighting, which would probably have happened if Ashton could have got a punch in! Manu got a 10 week ban, reduced to 5 weeks htt...

Re: Cockers speaks the truth.

Quite right TL - some people either just like to moan, have short memories or, more likely, have a very selective memory that filters out anything great that the Tigers have achieved!

The Changing State of NH Rugby

I don't think that I've read anything by this journo before - but, given another thread on the forum about how bad they can be, I thought this was a very good piece...... http://www.planetrugby.co.uk/story/0,25883,16016_9484438,00.html and, if his conclusions are right, the PRL and Pro12 are, at lea...

Re: Who will play at fullback next weekend?

If fit Scully is the next in line and on past performances will not let us down. Assuming Loamanu, Allen and Manu are fit I'd love to see a back line of Ben Youngs / Owen Williams at half back Wings Goneva and Loamanu Centres Allen and Manu Full back Scully Bench cover Mele or Harrison, Bai or Burn...

Re: Armitage

It's probably because of "outbursts" like this... Habana will be in line for his 102nd cap against the Wallabies in Cape Town next weekend, but the Toulon owner earlier this week demanded that Habana along with Bakkies Botha and Argentina's Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe return to play for th...

Re: Another Premiership/RFU Fiasco!

Not sure whether I should resurrect this thread or start a new one (Rizzo - please adjudicate) It seems that the RFU and the PRL have finally come to an agreement - increased financial payments and approval to play some matches during the knockout stages. http://www.planetrugby.co.uk/story/0,25883,3...

So Nicki's 11 tries from behind a, let's be honest, a stuttering, injury wrecked side, to make him the top try scorer for 13/14 wasn't "sparkling" ? :smt017

Re: Armitage

If your England squad is spread all over the globe, struggling to get together for anything except match days, will it be as strong as if they all played for English team with agreed release terms? The benefits of the principle are clear (although there are also benefits to overseas experience) but...

I believe that there is (toothless) regulations that stipulate that organisations can not use premium rate numbers as a form of access.
