Re: A few interesting RC stats
Saracens in the semi - Inferior opposition ? Harlequins in the league - Inferior opposition ? Saints in the league and the LV final - inferior opposition ? Clermont Auvergne at home in the HEC - Inferior opposition ? Ulster at home in the HEC - inferior opposition ? ... It is delusional to wilfully ...

Re: Will we be waving goodbye to the HC this season yet again?
Mick Jones, do you think we played the same style of rugby in the last ten games of last season ? Angry generalizations are not helpful. Tigers showed SUBLIME varied attack last year , but we seem to have chucked that out as we clammed up our defence this season. No attacking threat today, need to w...

It was a terrible Tigers performance and the fly half has some responsib ility for that. Ford is not the messiah he's a very naughty boy.

So players can be moulded into readily swappable, identikit OEM engine components by better coaches than Cockers ?

Re: The problem at Tigers?
new Depends what you mean by "new" doesn't it ? People "new" to the first team vs the second half of last season: Morris Goneva Andrew Harrison Crane Youngs Thompstone Kitch ( arguably) I think its naive to think that half the team can be unaccustomed to playing in that first te...

Re: The problem at Tigers?
In business if there is a downturn in the success of a system or project, one first looks to find what has changed since the last time it was measured and found to be successful. We have begun this season without Alex, Horacio, YBY, Skivs, Marcos and have playe Quins without Manu and Smurf. Quins ha...

Re: Tigers v Quins
Tigers seemed to revert to our pre-2010 gameplan of smashing the line and very little else. Quins were far too good for that to be efective yet we seemed to have nothing else in the tactic bag. Crane made zero meters in every collision. Flood was as poor as he has ever played for us: his desperate f...

Re: Welsh win!
Sale have Bath then us next.
They might scrape a win at Bath, but I don't think they will beat us unless they have a Damascene conversion. IIRC isn't that eight losses on the bounce for Redpath ?

His swansong was amazing for us too against Bath.
Very sad. Its a hard game, this one we love. Best of luck Newbs.

Re: v Worcester
Harrison has a lightning pass and a genuine attacking instinct, but his execution needs to be much cleaner. Service too high/too low, collection position wrong too often. I really do believe that will come though. Technical stuff can be improved, while you can't teach an attacking instinct. MY is a ...

Re: Marquee player....
I can think of a dozen good reasons to not publicly announce who is the marquee player and not many reasons for announcing it.
Also as I understand it we had a larger squad than usual last season to accommodate the RWC so more were always going to go than arrive.

Re: Injuries! Here we go again!
We know for a fact that we must simply disregard any "will be fit by" statements as they are always lies from Tigers. well meaning perhaps, but lies. Injured or recuperating right now that I know of is: Bowden Benjamin Tait Deacon ( Louis) Thompstone Boris YBY Newbs Woods Tho' Hawkins appe...
