Re: Time to get real, RWC
I agree with the lack of publicity complaints here. If it were not for the fact that we are regular rugby supporters we would have absolutely no idea this RWC was about to start in just over a week's time. The map of Leicester which 'Visit Leicester' in its wisdom has issued as part of its 24 page L...

Re: Mrs Camacho
Mrs C vs Laura Wright and the National Anthem? I'm still not sure who decided that the words could be changed from God Save The Queen (Mrs C) to God Save Our Queen (Laura Wright with a wrong high note at the end). I was taught the former at school and will never sing the latter. It sounds wrong to me.

Re: Pitch Enlargement
The half way line seems to have been moved also. I believe it was centred on the Mx stand, but is now at least a metre west of that. That means my seat will now be only about 3m from the halfway line, not 4m. :smt026 :smt038 Shhsh - they will be claiming you are sitting in a better seat before you ...

ANYTHING would be better than that stupid Big Boot Pantomime but the lady certainly can warble. She gets my vote.mike wrote:I thought she was a marvelous addition to the match day experience . Perhaps she could do half time as well !

Catering & Bar Feedback - Season 2015/16
Just thought that as the current thread has been trundling on for what seems like forever - it was time for a new one for this season. Things have changed (supposedly) so better not to bury views, complaints, observations or even praise, in a deep dark place.i Link to previous thread for reference (...

Re: Use of Stub Hub ended!
For matches that don't sell out with Stub hub I was able to sell my ticket below list price in competition with Tigers selling full price tickets. Under the new arrangement I expect that I will only get paid if Tigers sell my ticket at full price which they will presumably only do after they have s...

Re: Use of Stub Hub ended!
I totally agree and this is a move which I wish all the other clubs would follow. StubHub and their like are nothing short of on-line ticket touts and if I had my way, would be banned completely. Well done Tigers for looking after your season ticket holders. I predict it could lead to more people si...

You are having your leg pulled. It is definitely Shannon. Cork is miles away.Dominichi wrote:hi there,
Which is the best airport to fly into? From the map it looks like Shannon airport is closer but an Irish friend of mine is saying Cork?

Re: Munster Away
Have booked The Limerick Strand for 11th-14th weekend. Can't wait. Also just got return flights from Stansted to Shannon for just over £60 each. Could have been a bit cheaper if we'd gone for the 9pm Ryanair flight home but that is just too late so we went for the 7am one. Even if delayed the trains...

Re: Argentina beat South Africa
I heard it was because Cockers was not willing to release him for the ARG games or let him play in The Rugby Championship for ARG in our off season. We probably had too many ARG players at the time and it would have set a precedent for them all. How short-sighted is that eh? Seems we will nurture in...

Re: Neil Back - The Death of Rugby
Just received it, looks great and had a quick peak at the photos, which are incredible. Begins with the World Cup final, so straight in to the action :smt041 Not sure that I can see he has done much of note after 2003 so if the book starts there - count me out. Tigers made him Captain which was a j...

Re: This is going to get messy
The double negative in the sentence suggests that dunk43 is not planning on doing any (not 'no') work that week, therefore he/she must be planning on working that week which renders the question rather silly. English really is a hard language to learn for some isn't it?

Re: New kit
Have been waiting for a look at this for some time now and anticipating what it might look like. At least we have got hoops back and something that looks like a Tigers shirt rather than that awful bib thing. I'm not even going to go near the barbed wire orange version which is all the fault of Stihl...

Re: Clermont v Stade Francais
Parisse as a Tiger? Please - bring it on. What a signing he would be. Very Johnson-esque and would be a formidable captain. Can also communicate fluently with French referees which would be a great asset in the ECC games. Would be good to have a world class No 8 - something we haven't got at the mom...

Re: Clermont v Stade Francais
The scoreline suggested a dire game but far from it. Totally absorbing and brutal at times. The most toucing emotion at the end was Sergio Parisse face down on the pitch, his body heaving as he sobbed in relief at having won. Big men do cry - for the right reasons.
