Re: George Ford?
I enjoy watching the youngsters coming up and want well for each of them. Time teaches that the promise of youth is most often broken or mislaid. Both George and Sam, who taken together seemed to promise more even than the Goode and Grindell pairing, have not lived up to their promise yet, and on th...

Re: What is the most memorable moment in Leicestershire sport?
Though not as financially significant as the victories above the moment I call back most often is the movement against Quins, just prior to Bob Dwyer's anointment, that marked the start of the era of creative triumph. It began, as it finished, with John Lilley and covered the length of the pitch, in...

Get well soon Danny. And get some better friends.

I think of the two George is the more mature. Surely should be the other way round? Someone has to help GH grow up.Going to mentor George Ford as well as play.

Re: Is this really news ?
I've just shown this to the daughter, who is not one to let issues of gender politics go unchallenged.
She says 'cool!' and 'of course it's news', reflecting well on the Welsh Rugby community.

Re: Best Tigers XV of All Time
I'd like to see Sergeevich Obolensky as the other winger. Two tries against the All Blacks, his own room at Twickenham. Plus I would enjoy the sight of him and Manu being chased by emigration officials, as they shared these visa problems. Mostly though he and Rory in tandem, pace, power and entirely...

Re: Possibly 8 matches at the Millennium in RWC2015
Surely the question about nations is a tad old fashioned?
Isn't the right question "which TV company owns it?" and "Who are the main sponsors?".
I'd much rather go there than London, so for me it's a good move.

Re: London Welsh to lose main benefactor
I'm sure there are lots of Welsh people in London willing to pay good money to be part of a culturally appropriate Rugby Club.
Oh wait. Aren't they entirely dissociated from their own name and its purported associations.
Not much loss then.

Re: New Kit design - unveiled today
It's nice to know that I can get a replacement should my shirt wear out in the next few years.
It's a bit surprising that some people need a new one every year. Perhaps they use a very aggressive washing machine.

Re: FLOOD v WILKINSON
I've always found Flood more of a worry than Wilkinson, either when playing agaist Tigers, for Newcastle, or against Scotland.
Hopefully this weekend will confirm my view.

Re: Anglo-Welsh league, anyone?
There is a terrible intensity about Welsh Rugby, its followers and players, that make the various rivalries in the English game look petty and petulant. A team of Tigers standing deserves a better rival than the motley crew of Wanderers teams of the last few years. We need a new best enemy and the W...

Re: Fantastic fans, coaches and team
Indeed to all that, I'm sure having the same starting XV is a huge benefit, playing as if they know each other, and what is expected of them. I think Tait is looking the sort of player who makes everyone around him nervous, but will (woud?) be a great asset in a steady side, ie one in which his team...

Re: A League
One of my favorite memories is of the 'Extras' (old name for A team) playing Bath on a wet Wednesday night in front of 8,000. The Bath players were quite young and this was the biggest crowd many had played in front of. Better yet City had a home cup tie that night that drew a mean 4,000. However I ...
