Re: Saracens v Leicester

Btiger24 I don't want to depress your youthful enthusiasm but how on earth can you give players marks when you didn't even see the game?

It's bad enough when armchair critics do so from what they have seen on the Box

Re: All time XV

I would always include Dusty Hare as he just shaded Tim Stimson. You certainly don't need to go back to 1900 to name another raft of great Tigers. Les Cusworth, Clive Woodward, Paul Dodge, Barry Evans, Gary Adey, Bleddyn Jones, Ken Scotland, Bob Beason,Nick Youngs, Adel Kardouni, Jezz Harris, Steve ...

Re: Whatever happened to the dive-pass?

Transferring some old VHS tapes to DVD recently and ended up watching an old England-Wales game. Both Steve Smith and his opposite number used it to great effect. It is particularly useful if the stand - off gets it on the burst, or moving like the clappers. In my day it was used more often than not...

I see Ross Broadfoot was playing for the light-blues.

Is he a student now then? Where did he go when he left us?

Back back

I was sorry when this great player had to leave us to persue his coaching career at Leeds. After a great season in div 1 I really thought he would be flying this season, especially with his ex- Tiger additions. From the match reports I've read, they were going well for the first half. What is the ge...

The AB's squad was the weakest they've sent on tour for many years

Not sure I agree with you on that score and neither do quite a few Kiwis.

Re: Home International games

Methinks Richard is stirring a well established and much discussed can of worms. Scrap the Autumn Internationals. We don't need to see the SH teams this regularly. It's all about money for the RFU's coffers. I really used to look forward to the All Blacks tours but familiarity breeds contempt. It al...

Re: Moody for England captaincy?

I remember Jonny Wilkinson being appointed Captain of England only to get a long term injury. I saw him talking to the players on the field after the Argies match and it looked pretty ernest stuff. I am sure he knows his stuff and is very well liked and admired. I would love to know how many decisio...
