Well, we withstood the siege of Mafeking (pt2) but we shouldn't have been in that position. Far too many errors and poor decisions. When it clicked - for Hassell-Collins' try for example - we looked really good but there are far too few moments like that.

JVP
In an interview on the BBC, JvP outlines why he has been off for so long. 4 months was the prediction for the ankle injury, and so it proved. But, 1 week before his return he damaged a hamstring, and when that was nearly mended - he did it again, only this time , more seriously. Poor lad. At least h...

Sadly Martin, like Earle are the two England players Borthwick dreads having out. Martin was limping a lot after 60 minutes v Ireland, was a doubt v France and played on after taking a couple of heavy knocks but had loads of strapping. It’s a shame for us that in a shortened season we will be missi...

More turmoil in Wales
The latest proposal for 2nd tier Welsh clubs has caused splits and acrimony being seen as worthless and leading to the financial collapse of some old clubs. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/pontypridd-rfc-label-wru-s-new-league-as-anything-but-elite-with-no-commercial-rationale/ar-BB1kzauh?o...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
I'm still a bit split on this. On the one hand, it is interference by someone who isn't an official; on the other, it's an extra pair of expert eyes keeping players safe. After all, it is still the officials who make the decision.

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
A consideration is that the TMO has only the TV feed whereas the commentary team have a view of the whole pitch and the TV feed - (from half-way up the Crumbie at Tigers).

With less games we need to invest in quality not quantity. I agree, take the strength in depth that Sarries have as an example and if we do truly spend upto the cap then we should be signing quality not quantity. Watson is very bad business and Rogerson, Cracknell, Dolly and Hatherall best days are...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
It isn't just the audio feed though, is it? Instant replays with slow motion and magnification also bring incidents to light that would have been missed. And, in France, there is the constant inability of the TV director to find any incriminating evidence against the home side. It depends whether yo...

I really hope Friday night was a blip, a one-off because it reminded me of the late-Cockerill, and Murphy eras.
