Big John, Rizzo & Tigerbeat have stated clearly that their instructions regarding what is and isn't allowed on this thread have come from the club. That attitude & policy is unlikely to change in the immediate future no matter how many times you complain about it on this thread. If you disa...

If Back gets the job he gets my full support. As did Loffreda. This doubting him and knocking him before he's even been appointed is hardly productive is it? Once appointed he deserves a honey moon period, probably about 3 months, after that he will need to be producing significantly better perform...

Re: "I'm ready for the Leicester job"

The first thing I want to say is that I was genuinely sad to see Marcelo leave Welford Road. Marcelo is a great man, I learnt a great deal from him and it has been difficult for us all since the decision was taken to find a new head coach. Marcelo received the full support of his coaches but every ...

Re: "losing The dressing room"

[quote="1966 As Deano obviously has a very good relationship with many of the then players at the time of his sacking, it may also be construed as a lie. How is this obvious when it was the "senior players" who led the revolt and bad mouthed him to Peter Tom?[/quote] In the past few ...

I think the club will be very keen to keep him for another season, the question for me is will he want stay for another season given the events of the last few days.

I am not quite sure why but Backy always reminds me of the 'why was he born so beautiful' song these days.

Re: "losing The dressing room"

"Losing the dressing room" is an expression that we have heard bandied about a lot in recent weeks. It was the same expression used at the departure of Bob Dwyer and the same used at the departure of Dean Richards. It seems to be a very careless habit at Leicester Tigers As Deano obviousl...

Oh, and if Gibson is appointed to replace Loffreda, I hope the board will be patient with him and let him find his feet. After all it took us 3 years to win something under Howard. It seems to me that the board have set the standard for what is deemed success and as such any new head coach must win...

I think that is fair to question the competence of those who appointed ML given the rediculously short tenure of the head coach. It is now a critical time for these individuals, appoint a new head coach / coaching team and win something next year and you will regain your credibility or make another ...

Absolutely agree, time for Cockerill to leave, preferrably with Back in tow.

Who knows, but the recruitment of McGeechan, Gatland and Edwards have ceratainly played a major part in their recent success, maybe proving that a mix of the old and new is the best way forward.
