Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)
We'll just have to see what tomorrow brings. The beauty of no relegation means SB can mix and match the squads and see who is up for the challenge. It is pretty evident though that the young lads who got a win against Cardiff Blues in October 2019 no longer feature in the team selection and either h...

Pretty well according to this match report - https://www.coventryrugby.co.uk/2021/02 ... try-rugby/
Coventry could have won that match but gave away silly penalties in the second half. No red cards either

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
Do we think Ben White is out of favour or is Wigglesworth just being used this year to bolster the squad and be a guide for the youngsters and then take a coaching role next season? JVP is brilliant but I feel for Ben who has gone from second scrum half to 4th possibly when BY gets back from the 6 n...

Re: Ringfencing almost upon us ?
Imagine no one surprised by this announcement https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/56044619 Well that's 3 seasons of Tigers still being in the Prem. Will give SB plenty of time to sort his squad out and can experiment with players all he likes. Probably still be in the job for all 3 seasons. Not...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
I would rather he went elsewhere than focus too much on building muscle. Lewis has a real USP, he is like Croft or Tipuric you don't get many backrowers with that sort of speed. I would rather he went to a team that would help develop that than focus too much on muscle. Agree with you - don't bulk ...

Do we anticipate any more loanees going out, only other clubs that are maybe near enough would likely be Doncaster, Amptill or Bedford, but all of those are fair jaunts. I also notice someone on Facebook saying that he'd like to see Sam Lewis work while at Cov on his backup position in the 2nd Row ...

I’ve got a funny feeling that Kruis will be in a Tigers shirt next season. It’s been rumoured before and now with fresh rumours, I’ve got a good feeling about it. Yes let's get another Sarries player in then the likes of Martin, Henderson, Chessum won't be able to develop and be left waiting in the...

Who is next? Olowofela, Kerr, Aspland-Robinson, Hardwick, Clare, Simmons, White all senior squad without a lot of hope of getting regular game time. I don't think White will go out on loan. But the rest probably - not a chance of any game time with Tigers so need to be seen if they have any hope of...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
Wonder how many players will be off by the end of season? People saying big clear-out, but so far only 4 players off (I expect it to be more obviously but I don't see it being another 20 players off). Taufua - It was clear he was never going to stay past this season. Lavanini - Also was looking at ...

"Looks like the big clear out is underway. They wouldn't have left unless they had contracts to go to. Can see next season being a squad full of South African/Argentinians and the old faithfuls - Youngs, Ford, Genge and Cole. " You know 2 of the leavers are Argentines right? Fully aware o...

‘Just’ some emoji’s that are presented as mocking the performance. Not the right thing to do & seemingly in character, but you can't argue with him. Very poor from him... Everyone is assuming his post was aimed at the Tigers performance. No proof at all. Hardwick is not training with the squad,...

Because he never gets a look in. I think he's been on the bench once this season, and came on for the last few minutes? Perhaps my memory is ajar, I thought he had a few good games where he stood out late last season and then got injured? He was injured I think pre-covid then after the covid break ...
