Section 6.3.3 might mean that players on international duty or being rested because of international duty might well be considered “out of the club’s control?”

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Scotland won’t have to worry about kicking long, just run it back in the direction of Daly! The blitz effectively means that Scotland will know to have their wide men deeper to combat this so once Slade’s rush has been negated by taking it deeper the option of running down Daly’s channel on the wing...

Re: How to end kick tennis
It’s the 5m rule/passing it that needs to change. Although I do feel a frustrating that an attempted charge down can put a player 40m up the field on side.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Are we sure Freddie isn't injured? He had been carrying an arm/shoulder injury in the run up to the 6N? Furbank is a capable full back, it's the continued selection of Daly on the wing that worries me. They will just send Van De Merve down his channel and be waved by or a feeble attempt at a tackle ...

Re: How to end kick tennis
Where do the laws say you are layer on side by the opposition running the ball 5m?

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby
I wouldn't think Ealing would be a sacrificial lamb.
The team they turned out against us had players with relatively recent international experience and Premiership games.
Yes we beat them but up to that point they had beaten weakened Premiership teams.
Are they far off Newcastle?

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
I'm glad Lawrence is fit and would play him ahead of Manu in place of Dingwall. I would play Feyi-Waboso ahead of Daly who is not a starting wing (Would have him on the bench to cover wing and centre). If you want a long range punt at goal there is always Freddie Steward. I know we've not seen that ...

Re: How to end kick tennis
I don’t have a problem with the kicking, just the lack of any way of ending it if the players are not required to retreat when ahead of the kicker.

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby
To an extent it is hard for Championship sides to expand their fan base when the product being offered is Championship rugby. I suspect if Tigers were to drop down a division there may be many season ticket holders who might not attend matches as often as they do. Facing Tigers may well not have bee...

Re: Ealing PRC game info
When your front row is under the cosh, given a warning, why do you wait for a card before changing the front row or at least the tight head under the warning? How Van Wyke makes the bench ahead of Whitcomb I struggle to comprehend so not all the blame lies with our tight head? Good to see Clare play...

Re: Ealing PRC game info
Watching the match today.
I can see why Mercer doesn’t make the England squad. When the game got physical he was less impressive.
However he looks like he should have been a centre. Eye for a gap, power, pace and a decent boot. Like a stronger, faster version of Farrell.

How to end kick tennis
We all think the current kicking game is negative and not good for the fans.
All that really needs to change is that you can no longer be played onside by the opposition running the ball back. Simple quick fix.
Any player offside must retreat until played onside by one of their own team.

Seems short on pace.

Re: Kit changes for colourblind viewers
If 5% of the population are colour blind, the odds are 5% of rugby fans will be colour blind. Probably more than that given that colour blindness is more common in males and the majority of rugby fans are male. Given that Rugby has agreed to the change from next year it seems pretty ignorant to not ...
