Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Aled Walters and the Philosopher's Stone
Could it be that WW is on a coach's salary and a fee per appearance ? If that is the case then surely the amount to be counted under the cap would be minimal?

Re: New captain
IF Gopperth is coming I hope he is only used when we are short of of a 10 or 12 as we have younger players who need to play regularlyMurphysLaw wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 1:05 pm Agree with the Hanro suggestions. Assuming he is coming, how about Gopperth as vc?

Re: Decisions Decisions
If the club started discounting ticket prices to try and fill the stadium and it became common knowledge don't you think a lot of the occasional purchasers would wait until the last minute to get their tickets at a cheaper price? The tickets were realistically priced for the level of game and opposi...

Re: Decisions Decisions
The tickets were priced as a category 'A' the same as the home game against Saints so I cant see what the problem is. As for the lineout loses the one in front of the Matioli woods stand should have been a penalty to tigers because the jumper came through the line in the process of stealing the ball...

The salary cap works annually, it doesn't matter if for the first half of the season your monthly wage bill would work out over the cap. If Nadolo earns £200k per year, and only stays at Tigers for half the year, then he only takes up £100k of the cap. Taken from Premiership rugby website: The Sala...

I was shocked to see so many remaining tickets for such a big game! Any ideas of why or even how this is possible? to be hone...

Re: PRC Semi final vs London Irish (A) - 26th April 2022
i have for a long time been advocating that the PRC should be an under 23's competition with a maximum of 3 overage players in the matchday squad. This was requested by the welsh regions with regard to the anglo-welsh cup and when the premiership clubs said no the regions pulled out. If the premiers...

Re: Bristol (Home) - 30th April 2022 KO 15:00
Side for tomorrow v Irish has now been announced so what are we expecting the side v Bristol to be. I am hoping we go as strong as possible to get the 5 points and as a rehearsal for Leinster. Given we have no definite info on the fitness of Steward, Montoya and Reffell, I’m going to assume they ar...

Re: Guy Porter red card
Regarding Porter, posters seem to be forgetting that Clermont had the ball, we were physically trying to get it off them, players who are about to receive a pass are entitled to change their line to try to avoid being tackled. As I said before Guy rushed up out of the line to either make a tackle o...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates
I'm surprised that the bridge to the stadium is open to the elements There won't be a lot of traffic across the bridge and you save a lot of money by not enclosing it, I would have thought that the idea was for corporate functions in the ground to sell packages including accommodation in the hotel....

ITS THAT LAW BENGAL TIGER
So the actions of Fritz lee in changing his line should also have lead to a charge under the same law

Re: Guy Porter red card
Porter's a defender hitting the man without the ball. Had it not been a card I don't think anyone would argue against that being a penalty as it's clear foul play. Add head contact to foul play and it's a red unless there's mitigation. Lee isn't in an illegal position, obstructing the play, ahead o...

Re: Guy Porter red card
Having watched it live and re-watched it several times I noted the following: Fritz Lee actually changes his line to move towards Porter Fritz Lee has his head forward as the collision occurs whilst Porter is upright so it is actually Lee who's head initiates the contact Guy Porter has his arms in f...

Re: Refs and Sarries
I feel we have had some unlucky yellow cards, Ashton's for 3 offsides in the same attack phases was particularly unlucky as opposition teams have got away with things like " in at the side" in consecutive mauls against us without getting a card. Nadolo's "deliberate" knock on sho...
