Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

If Brink has as rumoured something like the forward going grunt, ferocity and work rate that Tafua has, then it's a no brainer, welcome aboard! As good as they are - Thompson has peaked, Kalamafoni makes no yards, Coghlan just doesn't feature, but I think Boladau could be a decent prospect.

Re: Will Marler get jail time?

Niggle occurs in just about every international game, nothing new there. Poor officiating has resulted in Marler getting an undeserved citing as nothing was seen to be done about it on the day. Had the AR or TMO bought the incident to the refs attention, a penalty would be awarded (or YC as Faz was ...

Re: England v Wales

Caucasian player tackles Pacific Island player in the head - penalty only. Pacific Island player tackles Caucasian player in the head - red card. Referee is from a country with a history of racism against Pacific Islanders and Maori. Is the inconsistency down to the stereotype that Pacific Islander...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

The issue for Jonny May is that he does not have many options if he wishes to continue playing for England. Sarries is no longer an option. Quins was talked about but looks like Ashton may have taken that spot. A return to Gloucester seems unlikely as they can not afford him. Options are to take a ...

Young Steward is a good prospect and has acquitted himself well given opportunities this season, however please don't forget Jonah :smt023 At 6'4" and 19yrs of age and in the England Age Grade mix, Steward looks an exciting prospect at full back. Holmes will get plenty of opportunity as player...

Re: Were Exeter robbed?

I'd say no, Quins denied by a glaring mistake by Ridley who had a great game otherwise. Baxter graciously accepted the apology and stated that they have to look at themselves as well as to why they put themselves in that position in the first place. A sensible reaction.

Mamukashvili is a decent signing IMO, Englands pack train against the gnarly Georgians for very good reasons!

Re: Change of Tune

Benny hill theme tune seems more appropriate just now. :smt005 (not a serious post, for the pedants). I'm with the Benny Hill thing. It could also replace the warm up. They could also come out in Morris dancing kit and beat the bejesus out of opposition players with their sticks as they went past. ...

Re: Murphy's "vision".

The Ownership/BoD excuse is only partly valid, but we have a squad full of current and ex internationals and the BoD don't coach these players, so the buck stops with the Head Coach. Under Murphy's reign last season we had historically the worst season ever. We are currently half way through this se...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

Singleton may want to play well for Leicester, especially as he will be playing for Borthwick and keen to impress Jones, but if he’s in contract that means Saracens holds all the bargaining chips. Personally I would sign him on a season loan, and try extend it into a proper contract afterwards. Agr...

Re: Murphy's "vision".

I wouldn't have a clue where to begin to right our performances what concerns me is that those whose job it is might not either. I believe it is a combination of the right calibre of coaches who will create synergy in a squad first, then build on the game strategy fed from the Head Coach across the...

Pathetic and embarrassing, anyone who makes any positives out of this game need their heads examining. Thank you Sarries (not) for saving Murphy neck!
