Re: Free to air Sports TV restructuring

Wasn't (and might still be) the reason why some 6N's games were on Sky and some on terrestrial because the ERFU sold the rights to the England matches to Sky whereas WRFU, IRFU and SRFU all opted to keep it terrestrial (not sure what Frances agreements were/are). I might be getting confused with ano...

Re: Date/Time change for Bath Home LV Game

Tigers are playing competitive rugby organised by the RFU and Premier Rugby and are given match fixture dates. Sky have paid good money to broadcast the rugby and put it in to fit their scheduling. The Club do not have much control as to what dates and kick off times are agreed. Whilst I totally ag...

Re: England Team

A loss this weekend and against the AB's the following week and Johnno will be gone. Everyone talks about 'progress' but have we really seen progress over the last 18 months? The last set of AI's were Johnno's first chance to see any kind of squad together. Last year's 6N's - OK we didn't play too ...

Re: Renewal of season tickets

I've also come to the same conclusion. I used to love watching the Tigers at WR when I was a nipper, freezing my nuts off standing on the 'slag-heap'. Last year (2008-9) I checked out my finances and worked out that I could just about afford the 3 year ST plus the £60 a match round trip petrol money...

Re: Unhappy Boks!!

The bottom line, friends, is that Leicester beat a 3rd or 4th string boks side that really should not even have been billed as "the boks". Peter De Villiers was not even in the country at the time and the assistant coach was sent to give the reserves a bit of a run around the park and see...

Shopping from the new Cat Stand

While I was waiting for kick-off on Friday night I noticed the advert for the commemorative merchandising in the match programme. However, when I managed to locate the 'trellis-table' shop on the upper concourse, the bloke behind it told me that they didn't have any (not sure if they had sold out or...

Re: Carter cited

Firstly Gatland did not state that he should have had at least a yellow ..... he said if it had happened at the other end it would have been [a yellow] [like the brackets ?]..... the crowd was jeering because the ref missed it, it happens, even in Tigers games from time to time. Here is a link to s...
