Re: PREMIERSHIP ROUND 13
Chapeau Jimmy Gopperth for telling Karl Dickson that Bristol had grounded the ball for a try and that he didn't need to go to the TMO to check.

Re: Next up London Irish - home - 5th March 2021
Well I rather enjoyed tonight's game (isn't that why we watch?) and at 33-18 the result was not in doubt. Before the 3rd Irish try, I wanted them to score as, given field position and the state of the game, that presented the best opportunity for us to get the try bonus point. So it ended 33-32 but ...

Re: Premiership round 7
I dont think that was Sales best though, and they were missing 4/5. Feels like a chance lost and that’s what hurts. He took a while to grow on me when he returned but how good is George Ford?! Irreplaceable! I think so, he's the glue. Singlehandedly kept us up last year! I thought that was Nigel Wray?

Re: Tom, Pinchen and Borthwick LTTV special tonight 8:30 PM
Love the posts from the people that clearly didn’t listen to it. Murphy’s contract is up at the end of the season, he wanted the talks to start as soon as possible so approached Pinchen. He was told that he would not be offered a renewal as DOR (Tom hinted there may have been a position of some sor...

Re: European finals 2020
Fantastic two games of rugby and congratulations to Bristol and Exeter on two hard fought victories against worthy opponents. Both Bristol and Exeter have been well resourced financially so these are not exactly fairy tale victories. However, IMO, they've both gone about the right way, have been pa...

Re: Rugby And all sports’ fans matter!
Kids getting some education (albeit underfunded) is extremely important. A few folk being able to go orienteering is not, the risk of transmission is obviously less but other than someone tripping up on a twig whilst engrossed in a compass and then requiring the air ambulance to attend there isn't ...

Re: Captaincy
Dan Cole tomorrow! As with all front rowers, he gets plenty of practise talking to the ref at scrum time: "Who? Me, Sir? Never" "Their loose head was angling in, Sir" "The pitch just slipped out along with my feet, that's why I landed on my belly Sir" :smt003 I'm not c...

Re: Captaincy
I'm not sure anybody on here can judge if TY should be skipper. It's down to the respect that he commands of the players and nothing else. I do agree he needs to work on his management of the ref though! I remember when everyone used to complain about Borthwick as a captain, but he captained every ...

Re: Captaincy
Taufua was skipper for Tasman I believe. OTY just isn't a captain, picking him over Slater was a large piece of the jigsaw of daft decisions over recent years. Top bloke & an inspiration Youngs, but not a skipper. I'm not sure anybody on here can judge if TY should be skipper. It's down to the ...

Re: Bath v Sarries
Sarries wont throw this away. 4 points closer to us... I'm led to believe that it's not just down to us and Sarries and that other relegation candidates are available. I was somewhat surprised to find out that when "everybody on here is saying" that we were cast adrift at the bottom of th...

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th
Who says it’s a binary choice between accepting mediocrity and supporting the team when they need it the most? It’s your attitude JGT that is most worrying. With that attitude 11 of the 12 sides don’t deserve support because they aren’t winners. It’s that attitude that got us to Saracen’s’ salary c...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester
I thought that the penalty was awarded with about 75 seconds to go and also thought that Hardwick had 90 seconds to take it, so I was gobsmacked when he took it with seconds left on the clock. I've learnt one thing on the time to take a kick tonight, so as for the rest , I'll reserve judgement until...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester
I think that Mark Bakewell deserves a bit of credit today as well. We won most of our lineouts and while I am only going on what I saw at the ground, every one of our mauls seemed to go forward and every one of Gloucester's was stopped dead. The polar opposite to the situation when he arrived and a ...
