Re: Olympic women's 7s
I have no issue with what you say about the rugby, although I think the problem was more to do with a lack of cohesion, which revealed itself when the pressure was on. You could say it's due to XVs players, you could say that it's due to not playing regularly together as a GB team rather than as En...

Re: Olympic women's 7s
I see celebrity name picking also potentially cost the GB men's gymnastics a proper shot at a medal, so often the bane of sport in GB, just my opinion. I think you are dead wrong about this. Nothing to do with celebrity. Smith and Whitlock were the world's number one and number two on the pommel ho...

Re: Olympic men's 7s
The medals are going to be hotly contested, some good teams about.
Japan seem to have arrived in the sport.
GB, Japan, Fiji, Argentina, France and South Africa all look threatening.
The two fancied teams of New Zealand and Australia not looked as strong as expected yet, see how it goes today.

Re: An evening with Cockers
Unfortunately I am unable to attend this event now as I have another engagement. I have decided to donate the £10 that I would've paid to attend an evening with Cockers to charity instead as this debate has reminded me that there are others much less fortunate than myself. I may choose one of the g...

Re: An evening with Cockers
My family continues to support Tigers minimally to the tune of 4 season tickets. I do not consider that as being tight or failing to fiscally support my club in any sense shape or form. Quite right! Squeezing the pips or killing the Golden Goose comes to mind. Now our friendly opponents at Ospreys ...

Re: Sam Yawayawa
Nottingham blown away in the second half after a good solid first half, nearly a point a minute, not surprised on seeing some of the replacements.RagingBull wrote:Yawayawa started for Nottingham V Falcons last weekend for the first half.
Was up against a pretty strong backline, but sounds like he did alright.

Re: Nottingham Tigers
Might I suggest, a Christmas pantomime be held in The Robin Hood Stand and possibly featuring Simon Cohen as the Sheriff of Nottingham, sapajo as Guy of Gisbourne, Aaron Mauger as Will Scarlett, obviously Cockers as Robin Hood, Harry Thacker as Maid Marian, ellis9 as Mortianna and Roly as Friar Tuc...

Re: Nottingham Tigers
I didn't know who Mortianna was so had to google it. I see that she is a female and also a witch. Do you not play parts as opposites in pantomimes? In which case that makes me a fantastic male real life! Sounds about right. She is female, does she play 7's rugby! I could be your stand if you wish, ...

Re: Simon Cohen takes a different view.......as do Glaws
h's dad If players find it confusing, and I can certainly understand it if they do, they really do need someone to represent them. I think you're last sentence is particularly interesting. Perhaps the PRL or the RPA should offer a service or guidance? Quite possibly they already do, if not I think ...

Re: Rugby World Cup 2019 Early Prediction
2019 a long way off yet, England forwards looking strong and a great platform set from here on in but still much to sort out in the backs by 2019 IMO. At this stage in tournament rugby it's still a New Zealand v Australia final for me but England are obviously pushing the Aussies. However I do predi...

Re: Olympic women's 7s
Quite enjoyed watching the women's 7's! :smt047 GB well beaten by Canada for the bronze. Tactics and smart selection changes from the group match won the bronze medal for Canada. Too many names and chiefs for GB IMO, time to allow the young blood to take charge properly. I see celebrity name picking...

Re: Simon Cohen takes a different view.......as do Glaws
I would still like to the see them bring in 1. A minimum senior squad size (45) 2. A minimum contract (100k) 3. A maximum non English qualified limit (15 per squad). Some good simple ideas in that IMO. Another would be ways of dealing with agents, some solid rules need enforcing IMO whereby situati...

Re: An evening with Cockers
Surely it's common sense!
An event is either run to break even, at a profit or at a loss, choose which one you wish it to be and moan accordingly, or not!
