Re: TMO vs. Quins
The paranoia about any contact with the head is starting to spoil the game. You can make perfectly legal contact with a players head and it not be a penalised offence. You only have to look at the pick and go's attacking the try line, virtually every contact in that area makes contact with the head....

Re: 7th May - Sale Away
Discipline is a bit of a concern. Too many red and yellow cards this season but these are definitely getting less as we develop. No cards at all in the last match is a step in the right direction. Too many stupid penalties also seems to be a theme but again we are improving. Most games we concede l...

Re: Montpellier’s Form - Challenge Cup Final chat
Montpelier were terrible under the high balls so Fordy's spiral bombs with Nadolo chasing will cause havoc. They also made a lot of poor decisions under pressure in their 22, our continuity of pressure in that area will again cause them major problems. No silly penalties from us and my money is on a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns
If it isn't Ford, it's Henry, if it isn't Henry it's Weise....you're all getting boring. Rebuilding is a longer process than any here will allow. We are still in the test phase, putting the blocks together, and TBH a few players needed a run-out before the Ulster game, some needed protecting. I wil...

I always assumed props earned ridiculous amounts compared to most, particularly tightheads and especially in France? No wonder the poor devils are having to supplement their income with social media influencing and podcasts!!!

Re: SAINTS AT HOME 24TH APRIL 2021
Saints is still the only game that matters! Borthwick is rebuilding not just the winning mentality but also that gnarly Tigers DNA. The speech to the players in the stand pre-season, the dismissing of the players during a training session all stand testament to that philosophy. Our local derby game ...

Re: Rainbow Cup trial rules
A solution to the elite rugby scrum farce is to ban resets and force refs to do a more efficient and accurate job. If a scrum collapses its mostly because a front row has slipped due to either not binding properly, bad angle and/or height of engagement, not allowing for slippery conditions or for ju...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
WIth certain people blaming Wiese for the loss, could anybody tell me which law says that you are not allowed to push your opponent when the ball is out of play? Law 9 Misconduct 27. A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship. It was handbags, not dangerous, Merc...

Re: Away vs Bath 18th April
Bath deserved that win. I think our two main issues were first the defence not adapting to Bath constantly targeting the 5m channel leaving us short resulting in our defence line going backwards or a score. The second is again not adapting the game plan in the last quarter to starve Bath of the ball...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE VI: The Return of the Burns
A likely scenario would be OTY retires end of season which leaves in order of selection: Montoya, Clare, Kerr and Dolly. Kerr will get a lot more game time with the usual injury/resting/international issues so unlikely to move, seems like a decent set up to me!

People seem to forget Burns' achievements: England International Part of an England team that beat NZ More than 2,000 club points (more than George Ford) Significant Champions Cup experience Strong Premiership experience at 15 He is still only 30, he has plenty more to give. By that CV you have to ...
