Re: What team for the Clash

Bath have some injury issues too. Charteris is out, Louw is doubtful, Ford has had back spasms, Atwood is out and they have some other long term injuries. However still a formidable back line. In the end both clubs have good squad depth so pretty evenly matched.

Re: Anyone seen MOC

Todays news quotes MOC as saying "It's a chance to work with the squad and the staff, and that's a huge bonus before coming back and forming the plans for pre-season". He starts on Thursday - so Murphy has teams selection this week. MOC's involvement in remaining 4,5 or 6 games seem to hav...

Re: What team for the Clash

I see today that MOC is not yet - as of Tuesday - in Leicester - at least that is what the latest news implies.

Seems Murphy et al, without much MOC input, will pick the team this week. Probably a good thing. Can pretend it is still the Mage era.

Re: What team for the Clash

I am less concerned with selection more whether the players will have their heads in the right place. A week off and regime change is not, IMHO, the best way to prepare for the biggest league game of the season. If MOC has anything about him he will look for continuity, so as far as possible I think...

Re: We have woken the bookies up!

I can't believe some still think teams that finish top but don't win the Final are being unfairly treated! For me the league is a ranking event and has been for years. The aim isn't to finish top, the aim is to finish top 2 and get a home semi-final. OK 1st get a marginally easier game v 4th (rathe...

Re: We have woken the bookies up!

When we play Bath, Quins are away to Sarries and Saints away to Wasps. With 3 matches to go we could be between 6 and 8 points clear in 4th. I can see why the odds are shortening. Effectively we are now favourite for 4th in bookies eyes. Also agree most likely semi line up is wasps vs tigers and Exe...

Re: Thank you Aaron

Echo the sentiment, and a piece of advice for AM. Stay around the East Midlands for a couple of months. There will be a job going at Franklin's Gardens soon and with it an early opportunity to show our BoD what they lost.

Re: Away to Saints

Agree that Mallinder and West are now on borrowed time. Can anyone think of a good coach living in the East Midlands with kids in school who is looking for a job. I can think of one and I wouldn't blame him if he took the option.

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out

Looking at some player tweets it is clear MOC does not command support among many. BoD seem to have split the players over this...I am now expecting a disfunctional squad for another season, and more departures. We needed a heavyweight DoR and we haven't got one.

Can our local MPs block his Visa.

Re: Away strip for the final

Hard on Croft, but clearly Williams adds something, and full front row replacement seems right for this match.

Re: AWC - it's Chiefs!

Which is the more important game.. The AWC final or Away to Saints 6 days later. For me it is the Saints game. We have to select with both eyes on the Saints game. Max of 4 or 5 first choice players in starting XV. It also means the boys who got us to the final have their shot at glory. I would nev...

Re: Is Matt O'Connor coming back?

I find it hard to find O'Connors merits over AM. Backs coaches both and neither DoR material. It makes no sense to lose AM and bring in O'Connor and a DoR so the BoD must be thinking O'CONNOR is a DoR. They are wrong to do so IMHO.

Re: AP Run In - La La Land or Moonlight

Well it won't be 6 from 6 and on last night's performance the trip to Franklin's Gardens assumes a much bigger significance. Add in Newcastle bidding for 6th or perhaps Worcester trying to survive and our run in suddenly looks a lot more hazardous this morning. Will Wasps do us a favour today? Or Sa...
