Ackerman signs new Gloucester deal.
Leicester Head Coach Murphy gets three game ban.
I know which one I prefer.
I prefer the Murphy story as I couldn’t care less about Gloucester to be honest.

Re: Boring Sarries, boring Exeter

When it was said to Alex Sanderson that Sarries spend a lot of time at St Albans practising the kick chase Sanderson said "yes, to be honest the players get bored with it" or something very similar. So there you go, Sarries are even boring themselves. I jest. And Boyd says of after being ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

I feel like there is genuinely a lot of talent in players who have been released from premiership clubs and are worth buying for us as mostly squad filling type players who add more depth. Players like Paolo Odogwu from Sale, Gaby Lovobalavu from Wasps, Jack Lam from Bristol as the big ball carryin...

Re: New Head of Operations set to be appointed

“To me, if we get a Head of Rugby Operations, we won’t need a Director of Rugby, whose job would be similar to that of the Head of Rugby Operations.” In other words, we are left with Murphy running the rugby side? Oh dear. Yes. A DOR to sort out signings recommended by Murphy and sort out contracts...

Re: New Head of Operations set to be appointed

Adding a Head of Rugby Operations to the mix says to me we are definitely going to see the appointment of a Director of Rugby, otherwise you have too many people at ‘Head of’ level without an overall leader. Whether that’s an internal or an external appointment is a different matter. Not necessaril...

Re: New Head of Operations set to be appointed

According to The Rugby Paper, Jan McGinty is set to be appointed as the new Head of Operations. He has been the Head of Operations for the SRU and used to have a role with Worcester. ...as said in an earlier post, the purpose being to free GG up to focus on scouting duties. Apologies. I missed that.

Re: Are neutral venues required

2 really entertaining games but one won by 20 points one by 30. Do posters feel neutral grounds would make the games more of a competition or would the same results have ensued No. The top 2 deserve their home advantage. The big score gap shows the gap between the quality of the sides. Exeter and S...

Agreed. If any away team is going to win, it will be Gloucester.

Re: Welford Road soundtrack

Agreed but before the match imho. Must admit I have liked The Crusaders, I think, flashing posts when the ball goes through, as that also provides clarity like the bails in cricket The way I get clarity is by using my eyes and/or the Assistant Referees raising their flags. I don’t need fancy flashi...

Re: Bodies

There are female physio and conditioning staff in the sport and the Team Manager is Theresa so it cannot be dismissed or taken that they are male references. Exactly and in a generation where we cannot presume what sex they are or who they are, bodies seems to be the best way to describe it as peop...

Or it’s just a term of phrase that he used and didn’t think twice about and wonders why people are getting up tight about something so trivial. Next we’ll be saying stop calling players Boys, which many coaches do, because they are men, or don’t have pride in the Jersey because it’s a shirt :smt015...

Re: Julian White?

I have just seen a photo of Simon Cohen, Dusty Hare, Boris Stankovich and Julian White together visiting a restaurant. 3 members of the club and White. I wonder if they are talking about a role for Julian? Doesn't make much sense to me, which makes it almost certain that he'll be appointed. What is...

Re: Welford Road soundtrack

Cheers and applause are all that’s needed, we don’t need a DJ, it would be like the cricket, with Sweet Caroline belting out every 5 minutes. Next thing you’ll be wanting cheerleaders What’s wrong with cheerleaders, if they’re used correctly they can really add to a match, probably too American for...

Re: Bodies

Language matters. Once again Geordan refers to the club having "more bodies" scheduled to join. They are not "bodies", they are players, with aspirations, mothers, fathers, wives, children etc. At a time when we are in a hugely competitive market place and talent has choices, th...
