Re: Tigers vs Worcester - Sat 06 Feb 1500

All being said a very solid performance which gives plenty to work on moving forward. One thing... HUGE bug bear of mine... second week in a row we’ve taken the Props off in the 43rd minute. Why? Why give them 3mins after a break. Surely just take them off at HT or give them time to make an impact. ...

So, if Van Staden is signing, who at the club is managing negotiations? Andrea P? No Jan McGinity. No replacement announced as of yet. Wilks as an Intermediate?

What’s Hardwick said / supposed to have said? Not overly up to date with social media!

Re: Sale game moved - Teams up

Game management? Or execution? Either way, you can’t aimlessly kick that much ball away. Sale looked nothing special. You’d have to say, Ford starts that game tonight and we win. Also, why was the front row dragged after 4mins of the second half? Henry. There’s a very good reason he was playing D2. ...

Re: Jordan Taufua signs for Lyon OU with immediate effect

I’m extremely late to the party here, but can I just add that if we were to bring in Marco Van Staden as JTs replacement, at a significantly reduced cost, then that would be an ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS piece of business. MVS is probably the form backrower in SA at the min. And that’s saying something. ...

Booooooooo Bill Mata extends with Edinburgh! Was hoping - if Taufua was to leave - that we could tempt him south!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

The Burns move would be odd. Bonilla to move on with Henry covering full back? Could work. Can’t imagine GF FB ZH and TB all remaining on the books.

Loved Burns when he was last here, he was treated pretty shockingly by the club, but can’t help think that this would be a bit of a backwards move.

Pretty surprised with how its worked out for Gustard. Was originally gutted that we'd missed out on him (pre-SB announcement)

Easter?
Lancaster?
Diamond?

To be honest, refreshing to read an article where we are not the centre of the 'premiership rugby sh*tshow'

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

In current circumstances, can we justify having 5 front line hookers on the books?

Montoya
Youngs
Clare
Kerr
Mamukashvili

You'd think that, with Vanes coming through too, that at least one would have to be shifted off the books?

Excited by Montoya. Try scoring machine from the rolling maul!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Enever is an odd one. Don't believe that SB could have signed off on that one given the lack of playing time we've seen from him. Maybe a contributing factor in GM and JM leaving. It was said in the media at the time that SB had been involved in the 'rebuild' contract wise but can't see it in this i...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Jonah Holmes the big one for me. Loved what he brought to the team, real electric pace. Potter is quick and a work in progress, Van Wyk you feel is pretty savy and streetwise (ignoring the 'slap' Vs Irish) and brings a physicality, but don't see him skinning his opposite number on the outside! Would...

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath

We lose that game last season. Badly. A lot to like about the apparent ethos SB is enstilling. Most I’ve enjoyed a Tigers game in a good while. No Taufua or Lavanini either. Was mass hysteria - myself included! - about JT potentially heading off to France last year; makes me feel a lot more confiden...

Shame. Scored a pretty impressive try for the Cheetahs today. One word to sum him up; rampaging
