Re: BRISTOL (A) - 26th December 2021 - 2-00pm
Yep player has to land back into the field of play if he is in the air when playing the ball outside the field of play. You could actually see on the touch line where he landed so should definitely have been a line out. I’ll take the scrum though :smt038 Not true, as long as the player has started ...

Re: New Salary Cap Breach?
At least no matter what punishment we're given, we're still likely to finish above Bath

Not sure I follow here. We can get a points deduction this season for past offences.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 1:56 pm If we are guilty we should be punished but it shouldn't impact the current league placing.

Re: Genge leaving
Would be a bit hypocritical for Borthwick to drop his as captain seeing as he also signed for another club while captaining Bath.

Re: Genge leaving
Sure. But IMO, I don't see how an extended Q&A with a Montpellier player about how excited they are to come and start playing for Leicester is that different from a Leicester player being in a video showing him being excited to play for Bath. Other than the fact everyone on here has a bias towar...

Re: Genge leaving
I don't think it's that different at all - they're just in different media forms.
As an aside, Borthwick was the captain of Bath as I recall when he signed for Saracens.

Re: Genge leaving
Bet the Montpellier would've been up in arms though. Also Bristol media is miles behind Sam IMO. Literally all they have is tacky announcement videos which was fun at first but you can see the lower impressions as they kept milking the memey videos. Do you think it's that much different from the ex...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls
Average UK salary is £26k. I think players need to get a grip. Argument about career only lasting 10-12 years is false, as most go onto something else via connections they have made while playing. The game doesn’t owe them a lifetimes income in 10 years. It's not just the short career span. It's th...

Re: Genge leaving
I really don't see what all the fuss is about re video. I'd hope our fan base was secure enough that such a thing could be seen for what it is. Move on. Agreed. He's signed the contract, all this does is show it happening in person. Bristol's social media team are head and shoulders above anything ...

Re: Genge leaving
TBH I'm not really surprised by this. He was always going to go home, I just thought/hoped it would be because he wanted to have the last couple of years playing for his home town club. Doing it now just says money to me. Which is fine, I've moved jobs for more money. Does just seem abit wierd to b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls
Disagree about Genge being the best loosehead in England, Marler still holds that for me Marlers the better scrummager,Genge has the edge in everything else imo No chance! Marler also best defensive loosehead in the premiership. Genge has struggled to get into the England team. He's a top LH but de...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls
What have I started! 😂 We’ve signed arguably the worlds best fly half and I’m sure his kicking game will be on point. When was the last time we signed a player of this ilk - I’m thinking it was probably Pat Howard? Toomua was of a level but not to the level of Pollard I would go as far back as Joel...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2021/22 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACTS: Lord of the Mauls
Genge was one of the players that was unhappy, for a number of reasons, at the way players are/were treated generally (not just at Leicester) . Plus the covid paycuts saga. I don't think any player is a safe bet to stay in Leicester if another leading club offers a comparable deal. The only players ...

Re: Creeping around the ruck
Isn't there a clear defence against this? By doing it, Sarries are widening the ruck. The gate is the full width of the ruck. So as long as you are entering through the gate, you can clear these guys out. Surely the easiest defence is to pass to the 10/15 and let them clear it like the good old day...

Re: Creeping around the ruck
In the Sarries v Sale match on Sunday, a number of times the Sarries players appeared to be creeping around the side of the ruck, clearly with the intent of obstructing the scrum half as soon as they have the ball. The creeping players still had a hand on the players in the ruck, but they were clea...
