Friends north of the boarder report that the SRU has postponed all games this weekend in their national leagues, possible/probably next weekend's too.

Re: Tigers v Exeter (Away) - 10th September 2022 - 3-00pm

Pretty sure Steward exceeded the total number of games over last season for us & England. I’m sure you’re right wasn’t there some special dispensation for that. But that was ok because it wasn’t Pat Lam asking. Yep correct the RFU has a maximum number of games per year of 30, Freddie played 32,...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Well, thanks for all the sneering. I have stayed in an hotel before. And while £79 might be cheap, there are no rooms at that price - all three figures. Supply / demand argument is rubbish. If the demand goes up in this market the costs stay the same. It's not as though the raw material increases. ...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

It’s not about increased raw costs, The high demand prices subsidises the lower demand prices. Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding! The raw cost of the room plus acceptable profits probably lies just a little above the midweek out of season rate and is only achieved on average by the increased price...

Yeah, I don’t like that much. It’s a bit like how the likes of Center Parcs hike their prices at half term.
The simple economics of supply and demand, unfortunately.

Re: George Ford and Handrè Pollard discussions

According to South Africa Pollard has a long term injury so has been told to come over to Tigers to rehabilitate! Not sure if that’s true. Some rumours too from friends saying Freddie off to Quins: I’d be surprised but who knows!! King Freddie or Air Steward? The latest Ruck headline is that Quins ...

Re: Worcester’s woes

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with players on good salaries being paid in full and Mrs Miggins in the ticket office getting 65% of £10 per hour. I suspect that it's been done that way so that the players rumoured to be leaving can't do so by means of breach of contract by Warriors and so will h...

Re: Worcester’s woes

Seems like Worcester have paid 65% of their non players wages. So hopefully all of them can clear bills etc prior to the remainder of their wages arriving. Also suggestions players wages may have been paid in full, a move obviously meant to ensure they don't lose playing staff just prior to the sea...

Re: Single use paper cups?

One of the problems with the cups/mugs used for the last few seasons was that the capacity wasn't a full pint. In pubs the standard pint glass/mug is marked with a line, a centimetre or so below the top of the glass, showing where a pint comes up to and therefore leaving space for a head. Essential...
