Re: George Fords Departure - Why ?

In fairness behind that pack in 2002 Austin Healey was world class IMO - or at least had unique abilities that set him apart from others. You hate to big him up, but without him our back to back European Success would of been unlikely. Totally agree! Our backs, notably Austin, Leon Lloyd, Tim Stimp...

Re: Rassie Erasmus...

I don't get why he was still a "water carrier" during the Scotland match. Surely he should have been in the stands?

Re: Round 3 - Saracens (H) - Saturday 02nd October 2021

After the last 2 matches, I'm really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately I will be watching from home rather than my usual seat in the big stand (lost track of the current name) due to having to isolate ahead of a little hernia repair on Monday. I will be cheering the boys on from the sofa, b...

13 team league

So, the 13 team league has, as been mentioned before, one team each week without a game. Unless I'm mistaken, this weekend it was Saracens, who we are up against next week, who had the weekend off. We've had 2 good games so far, and coming away from Gloucester and the hostile Shed with 5 points is s...

Re: Match day Parking

I used to park in the car park at the top of Welford Road, which I think was part of the university. This started to get redeveloped towards the end of the 2019-2020 season and they have demolished and rebuilt what appears to be more student blocks. Unfortunately there is no parking there now so I w...

Re: Formerly of this parish

Looks like Jake Kerr has signed for Bristol. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/57913626

Don't know where that leaves the other ex-Tiger Harry Thacker, who has had a torrid time of late with injuries.

Re: Formerly of this parish

Just spotted on BBC Sport that Jamie Gibson has left Gloucester. I thought he always played well for us and was disappointed he moved to Saints. Having only joined Gloucester last November it seems the 6 games he played weren't enough to extend his contract.

Re: Tom Youngs Charged

Is it not also fair to say respect has to be earned? That reminded me of when my stroppy daughter was having a bit of rant at me and I suggested that as her dad she should show me some respect. She replied that respect had to be earned. I begged to differ, as I had always shown my parents respect. ...

Itoje, like the other Sarries players just look match rusty. Eddie needs to stop picking his favourite players

Re: May 17th Fans back in Stadiums....possibly?

Hope everyone is well and it’s personal choice whether to take the vaccine. I won’t be but understand why others would. I appreciate it's a personal choice, but if it's the difference between being allowed into Mattiolli Woods Welford Road or not, I'll be getting mine thanks. There is much stuff on...

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021

Can't understand why Eddie Jones has picked so many Sarries in the starting 15. A lack of match fitness is clearly leading to so many penalties. By all means include some Sarries players in the squad but so many in the starting line up may not result in the outcome EJ is hoping for.

Re: McGinity off

In these times a sensible cost saving. True - especially when reading the club statement "The decision has been taken now, with recruitment finalised for 2020/21, to allow the new team led by head coach Steve Borthwick to have the best possible opportunities, time and resource in looking ahead...

Re: Fans supporting the club.

Like many, I have already donated the remaining part of this season's Season Tickets for me and my son. I also paid for our Season Tickets for the coming 2020/2021 season back in March before all this nonsense kicked in. If there was a serious risk of the club failing, I could probably consider anot...

Re: Toulon v Tigers - Challenge Cup Semi

Thanks Tigerbeat. I am of course hoping the game goes ahead, we see a great performance from the lads and all return home safely to continue playing the remaining games. I am assuming that given the late kick-off (8pm UK/9pm local) this may well be just a day trip with very little risk of exposure o...
