Re: Outsoursing of services

I assume the franchisees are guaranteeing the club a fixed amount plus a % of profits? The problem with this outsourcing business model is that when contract renewal is up the future fixed amount is normally adjusted iaw profit received. More often than not the contract is not renewed because the c...

Re: Does ITV have a London bias, or what?

Is the censor banning the term F.....A.... because it stands for something or because it has an association with football? :smt001 It appears the filter does not like the diminutive form of Frances or something resembling a fan. So are all things of beauty (Frances or diminutive) excised from this ...

Re: If you can't wait for the EPS, here it is

I can't see how having a Saffas 10, 12 and 13 combo is going to break down an international defence My fears as well. Hodgson is a probably Floods equal when it comes to his passing game, but Barrit t and Farrell have about as much creative spark as Julian White. Excuse me but don't diss the great ...

Re: Outsoursing of services

Unfortunately it pays the club to do this until the tipping point where 'customer' dissatisfaction is actually harming the core operation. In this case, no-one is failing to attend Tigers matches and I assume the franchisees are guaranteeing the club a fixed amount plus a % of profits?

Re: Does ITV have a London bias, or what?

I don't know why you complain, just accept that lazy journos latch onto the fashionable names and know sweet-:censored:-adams about a lot of others. Right now they cannot stop repeating 'Owen Farrell' - and if Lancaster is stupid enough to build a side around this over-rated love-child, then that's...

Mrs G says:
No pink rubbish; proper hats, caps and scarves; talk to the fans about what they want; sexist mugs - where's the female names?
Mr G says:
Cut out the tat especially the golf rubbish (spoken as a golfer)

Re: If you can't wait for the EPS, here it is

I have had chance to reflect on the EPS squad and to temper my intial reaction. My considered conclusion is 1 This has several very poor selections 2 For several positions (e.g. LH, Hooker,10) there are at least two better players in the AP who are England qualified 3 Too much going on about youth d...

Re: If you can't wait for the EPS, here it is

Personally I think this is a rubbish EPS selection and the Saxons could take them apart very very easily! I'm afraid that the London media have got to Lancaster/Farrell/Wig - how Webber or Marler could be in there god only knows.
Andy Robinson must be laughing his socks off.

Should be posted to every ref and club with explicit instructions to tell their players to speak to the ref or TJs when requested by the ref and at no other time.

Bravo Nigel. Something refs could well practise on Borthwick, Dickson and one or two others!

Re: Ben Youngs

I also witnessed some foul abuse of TV and I don't think that is excusable either. There are things we say during the course of a game that we may regret or not (e.g. Small you're a useless ref, Ashton you're a jessie) but I hope those giving out this type of abuse are told what others think, qite f...

Re: man of the match

Despite good performances from others 12T nailed 100% and scored two tries. I would be interested to see the level of nitpicking applied to others that is routinely applied to 12T. TTTE for me was less effective than usual as Wasps targeted his usual ploys. I was also amused to see on replay (so mat...

Re: Yesterday's game

If they're anything like our IT department we're lucky only to have lost the odd bits and pieces. Last year my department lost ten years of extension work for talented students plus two weeks of development work.
