Re: 8th minute Sunday v Racing song

Whilst I commend those who have suggested singing The Fields of Athenry after the silence I do have reservations about the result. Tigers are not a singing club, heaven knows many have tried to get a club song going over the years. You either all, or most, sing or not at all. I fear a an embarrassin...

Re: Tigers v Racing 92

I think we stand every chance of a good win but don't rely on the French team not turning up, they managed OK last year at the City Ground, Notts. My biggest fear is whether the good Tigers team turns up or not, it's all down to their mindset. Of the team 'selected' so far they look good, we have a ...

Obviously they were no good at cleaning cars, and presumably Jordan had lost the knack of getting that lovely shine. :smt023

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

Change doesn't necessarily mean "Cockers Out" ...........but it could mean a change as DOR? On Friday, when it became clear that the game was up, there didn't seem to be a damage limitation, play it tight, attitude but a "let's chuck stupid passes round and get intercepted and make t...

Re: Tait...not good enough

Good point Timmers. Everyone is quick to blame the backs and their coach but as you say the forwards haven't been providing good reliable ball for a while. The scrum has become very tame and beatable over the years and the rolling maul faded after Martin Corrie hung up his boots. For some reason som...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

Much as I think Johnno was the best leader on the pitch I can't think he should be dropped into the set-up at WR now. His arm was twisted to go for the England job and now would be the same at Tigers for me. He was a great leader on the pitch but as a coach in the stands - I'm not so sure (and it hu...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

Well, as I said earlier, everything has been changed and only the head remains. The word I've heard is that Mauger and Cockers can barely tolerate each other. That must come across to the team.

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

I'm just waiting to see the post match interview. 'They just aren't playing as I want/tell them to.' Oh, wait a minute, 'Wait until we get Manu back'. That's what is it was from many on here last season...... None of that was said or offered. No excuses were offered. Forthright was Mr Cockerill. Th...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

OK, 8 years of decline, accepting the odd moment of success, and we've changed everything including the pitch. To paraphrase Sherlock Holmes. 'When you've discounted everything thing else whatever's left, no matter how unpalatable, has to be the problem.' Cockers is not God. No doubting his loyalty ...

Look on the bright side....

OK, we've played 160 minutes of rugby and were :censored: for 140 of them, BUT the pitch still looks good after all the rain and two big packs pushing on it.

Look, I'm just looking for a bit of sliver lining in a growing dark cloud.

Re: Teams up v Gloucester

Posh Richard and I are drunk! Upright, dignified as two proper supporters of proper clubs should be, but drunk. Rules of our game? Pint per try, nip of scotch per conversion, sneaky half for a pen. He is more drunk than I having had the better start, though I suspect I will be catching up. I will c...

Re: Now we have 2 for away trips

We're not great away fans but when we have travelled it has been with Tigers or under our own steam and have no complaints. I have no axe to grind with Thomas Cooke but I do with Tigers and their farming out of club activities. The shop seems OK but after that it is an unmitigated disaster when it c...
