Re: Manu Tuilagi
Apparently, Mike Williams injury wasn't another break, but a problem around the hole where the screw had been. That would explain why his recovery has been a bit quicker than expected.

Re: Veainu - any news?
He scored a superb try near the beginning of the game against USA, but went off injured at half-time - can't find any more detail.
There's a report in Midi Olympique this morning that his signing is about to be announced by Stade Francais!!!!

It hasn't been shown, but Ben Smith suffered a similar injury towards the end of Ireland v ABs.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
To be strictly accurate, O'Connor played at 7 for the first part of Hawke's Bay's season, but then moved to eight due to injury. It has to be said he was absolutely superb there, in the style of Kieran Read.

Re: Minor Law ammendments for the New Season
In Super Rugby, the impact of the defensive scrum half not being able to track his opponent to the back of a scrum has been huge. I hope our 9s and 8s have been practising their moves, as the best teams - given more space - have been almost invariably scoring tries from scrums close to the oppositio...

When the Holland & Barrett announcement was made, I recall the club said that there were a large number of potential sponsors, all very keen.

Not to mention Kasabian at the King Power. This is another advantage of having a new, more durable hybrid pitch.

Re: Jacob Umaga
He may be a promising young player, but IMO young Umaga isn't anywhere near good enough to play in Super Rugby yet (the improving Blues do have 'proper' young fly-half in Ehaia West!)
A bit of time in NZ club rugby, like Johnno's trip there in his youth, would be good for him, however.

Re: Next weekend
In the Mercury report about Cockers' thoughts on the final, it says that Fitzgerald has a back injury and O'Connor (as stated previously) a calf problem. We won't see either of them this weekend.

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates
Had a look today. The 'long sections' are a kind of second skin for the roof, being laid on top of the sloping part of the existing canopy. If I had to hazard a guess, they looked a bit like drainage channels/gutters, to prevent the rainwater just sliding off.

However, I noticed that the spill from the internal lighting for the crowd has a very positive effect!

Re: O'connor ?
Cockers was asked specifically about BOC after yesterday's game and was very non-committal (after being quite specific about others on their way back). In Cockers-speak, that probably means we shouldn't expected to see him anytime soon.
