Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17

Err I did mention his injuries which must be the reason. Matthews is pish ,Twomey is a good player, ask any Quins fan,him and Horwill are their best pairing by far Yeah, Twomey is excellent when fit. So that's for about 6 weeks each season... Matthews is a conundrum. He's not pish, by any means. In ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS ARE THE U18 PREM CHAMPIONS 2018

But as in the true Tigers tradition most of these excellent youngsters will probably have to ply their trade elsewhere. :smt010 Maybe but like those others that ply their trade elsewhere, it'll be because they aren't good enough. The only way you can actually believe that is to ignore the likes of ...

Re: Sarries vs Tigers

Well spotted teds. But they still have a back line of Goode, Earle, Wyles, Barritt, Bosch, Spencer and Lozowski, plus a back row of Burger, Clark and Wray. In all seriousness how do they afford that depth of squad without breaching the you know what?!! Do you think ours: 15 Telusa Veainu 14 Adam Th...

Re: Sarries vs Tigers

Ok we have a few out but Sarries have lost Vunipola x 2, Itoje, Kruis, George, Farrell, Wrigglesworth......any others I've missed? I think Liam Williams is starting for Wales. Well spotted teds. But they still have a back line of Goode, Earle, Wyles, Barritt, Bosch, Spencer and Lozowski, plus a bac...

Re: Wasps vs Tigers - AWC Cup

Wasps cannot afford to pick up many more injury casualties and Tigers need to prepare a team in readiness for Gloucester. Expect an understrength Wasps team and a relatively strong Tigers team. Yes you are right about the casualties, but they certainly can't afford another hammering like the last o...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17

It'll be very disappointing if Thacker has signed for Bristol! After all the talk of what it means to play for Leicester, to come through the academy and play for his hometown club, the supposed ethos and the Tigers family etc, and spent time passing that voice onto the next generation, to then wal...

Re: Exeter Chiefs the new (old?) Tigers?

OK do you mean me? My info comes from inside Chiefs and from fans including my brother. TTTE was a lazy poacher at Tigers and started that way at Chiefs until he was brought up short following 'discussions'. Thereafter his work ethic FOR THE TEAM improved. The fault at Tigers was his and Cockers fo...

"Manu Tuilagi will miss out on selection for the Six Nations after England head coach Eddie Jones told the injury-plagued centre to concentrate on recapturing his very best form at Leicester Tigers." Daily Torygraph Makes sense. He's way behind Joseph and Slade on current form and it make...

Re: Exeter Chiefs the new (old?) Tigers?

I think the old Tigers had longetivity which is something clubs like Quins and Saints haven't been able to match. The new Wasps still haven't won anything. Saracens have/are coming close to the old Tigers. Chiefs, I am not sure yet. There has been a slow but steady claim, and they've got the Prem p...

Re: Why not us?

I’ve always thought that, if we honestly are paying up to the cap with no spare cash, then there are 100% players who had Tigers over a barrel and are being paid too much. Other clubs seem to manage the cap much better than we do. Plus we should get discounts for players through the academy. There ...

It would appear that he didn't want to stay in England for too long anyway.
He appears to be staying in England, though.

Might not stay for much longer if his new club give him games and he starts to get more interesting to one of the provinces, though.

Re: Team for London Irish

It's not as if we are not scoring tries. That is the 8th time in 13 Premiership games that we've scored 3 tries. But when it comes to bonus points... Jack Yeandle on his own has scored more BP tries (in added time in the last few weeks) than Leicester have scored BP tries all season.

Anyone remember when Lewington wasn't good enough to get even a single European or Premiership game in three seasons for Leicester?

Whatever happened to that guy?
