Re: The Welsh rugby problem near a resolution?

A lot has been said about cross-border competitions needing support of both unions and that this could stymie any Anglo-welsh league. However, there already is an established Anglo-Welsh competition in the form of the LV cup. At present it is basically a competition for development sides. If it was ...

Re: Tigers vs Jersey August 11

"A word of warning - there are some pubs in St Helier that don't allow sports shirts. A couple of years back, I was refused service at one of them (I'll try and dig out the name of it) because I wandered in wearing an old Goldstar Tigers shirt. According to the young eastern European lad behind...

varsity, london road

Delight at yesterday's result was marred by turning up at The Varsity pub, where I have watched many away games in the past, to find that they do not show rugby any more. It is now wall to wall soccer. Anyone thinking of going there in future should bear that in mind. It also raises the question - w...

Re: Marcos- out for 3 weeks

Given his performances so far this year it can't be long before Mulipola gets a game for the first team. Not only would he scare the opposition but he can, according to one website, play back row as well!

Re: A League win over Sale Jets

It was a good game. Apart from two soft tries in the second half (one from a tap penalty) the Tigers defence was very solid - although it was helped by Sales inability to hold their passes. Julian enjoyed himself for sixty minutes and, helped by the impressive Muliola (spelling?)gave the Sale pack a...

Re: Mickey Young

What has all this got to do with Mickey Young? Why does every topic seem to develop into a discussion about Twelvetrees, regardless of its title?

Re: ground redevelopment

Redevelopment of the antiquated wooden Crumbie stand should be a priority for safety reasons. I sit towards the back of the stand and over the years have got used to taking at least 5 or 10 minutes to leave it at the end of the match while people in the front rows file down the stairs. What I have n...

OLLY SMITH

I have been looking at the erc website this afternoon. Under "Heineken Cup Player News" it lists Agulla, Skivington, Waldrom, Robinson and OLLY SMITH as players coming to Tigers for the new season. I haven't seen the return of Olly Smith mentioned anywhere else. Can it be true?
