Re: Tigers v Leinster (A) - Champion Cup - Qtr Final - 07th April 2023 - KO 8:00pm
To me, the media's talking up of Leinster is showing them the respect they deserve. They've won 20 out of 21 games in the URC and CC this season, and around 10-11 of the starting Ireland team are from Leinster. This is a Test team masquerading as a club side. Of course, they still have to beat us o...

I don't think I've ever seen the training bibs correlate to anything meaningful.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 6:04 pm On the basis of who is wearing the light green training bibs Wolstenholme and Clare could be starting

Re: Edinburgh match.
Arguably our bench props may now be our best? Ok they came on after Cole and Cronin had done the first 40. West seems to be a better scrummager than Cronin and Heyes has been transformed by playing regularly. 10 mins off the bench isn’t enough (a bit like Genge in that respect) Wiese added impetus ...

Re: Edinburgh match.
Just back from the game, great atmosphere even with a number of empty benches and seats. Hanro, Wiese, Cameron, Montoya all superb. Another quiet but effective Gopperth performance. Great to see Pollard bossing the pitch, and great to see Kelly back on the field. Actually thought JVP had a poor gam...

Re: Edinburgh match.
The point is, you'd think we'd have learned to trust the boys selected to perform at the required standard by this point. That’s very nice, but if we’re selecting non-first choice players for a European Cup quarter final, the message it sends about the status and ambition of the club is pretty poor...

Re: Edinburgh match.
Let's not forget the job rotated squads did for us away in Europe last season. Not when it came to the knockout stages. We went as loaded as we could to Clermont. Rotation in the group stage of Europe is entirely different because of the ridiculous format where you can qualify on just winning a cou...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season
Well during the World Cup we will almost certainly be without Pollard and Steward, so Atkinson very much will be playing 10.
Players will need resting after, so I think a good 6/7 fixtures will see us pretty stretched.

Re: The Rolling Maul Podcast - Special Guests
I don't know if this will be an issue for everyone or just me, but the latest episode won't load on Google podcasts. Which is irritating! So I noticed it was available on my desktop, but not my Google podcasts app. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and it’s now there. No idea why it didn’t update ...

I don't know if this will be an issue for everyone or just me, but the latest episode won't load on Google podcasts. Which is irritating! It’s really annoying. We’ve emailed Google Podcasts to find out what’s wrong - we use a platform that sends the podcast out to all the libraries (Apple,Spotify, ...

Re: The Rolling Maul Podcast - Special Guests
Morning all Last night we were incredibly lucky to be joined by Tigers royalty, Neil Back , to chat about the 20 year anniversary of the Rugby World Cup win and his incredible success at Tigers. We’d only booked him for 20 minutes but he ended up chatting for 45 minutes - hopefully you’ll find it as...

Re: The Rolling Maul Podcast - Special Guests
Evening guys. Heck of a win today. Even that first half showed a level of physical dominance which we haven't seen for a long time now, allied with some more snap and precision in the second half - and the inspired early introductions of Gorgeous George and Cam - it made for one of our best displays...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester (A) - Sunday 12th March 2023 - KO 13:00
It’s neither.
Green and red is difficult to distinguish for colourblind viewers (which affects one in 12 men), so this is an easy step to avoid a clash.
I’m sure an added bonus is a third kit to buy, but I’m not bothered about the club pushing new revenue streams. Plus - it’s pretty nice!

Re: Tigers v Gloucester (A) - Sunday 12th March 2023 - KO 13:00
I like the 6:2 split for this game. Shows how we intend to take Gloucester on up front. Wells dropped in to diffuse their rolling maul, Guy back to give that extra thrust in the midfield - and Cronin back involved too is super positive. Discipline key for this one - we can't let them start driving i...
