Re: Car Park Scam - Chy Motors

I understand the points raised by Me2 entirely. However I described this as a scam, because it is - the timing of the issuing of notices showed the intent - to allow people to park making the assumptions I did and then to slap on a 'penalty notice'. That's a very good reason to boycott that site in ...

Car Park Scam - Chy Motors

Parked today in the place I have used all season - corner of Jarrom St & Havelock St on private land. No attendant to pay, so in common with others there moved on, thinking the usual guy couldnt face the cold... After the match got back to find an official looking notice slapped on the screen, m...

Re: Travelling to the game this weekend

Thanks Rizzo. (The answer's 'Yes' btw, but not for much longer). Interesting that the Leicester City Council and Electronic Local Govt Information Network (Elgin, geddit?) website I'd checked before asking the question here, couldnt answer the question so straightforwardly.

Does anyone know if the top end of Western Boulevard is open again yet ie at the railway bridge?

Re: Leicester v Sale

I'd like to see some competition for Jordan Crane at 8 where things are soooo predictable and JC isnt giving us what we know he can deliver....

Time to give Ben Piennar another run, or do we have to wait for Ben Woods to return (news on that?)???

Re: Nigel Owens

The Moody 'offside' looked extremely harsh realtime in the ground and no better on viewing the recording, especially as Owens had given an accidental offside against Clermont just few minutes before which was at least as 'deliberate'. and earlier in the half I remember seeing a Clermont defender, in...

Re: Cockerill suspended for 4 weeks

Perhaps whoever did the half-time team-talk should think about using it BEFORE the game? Must have been quite a team-talk - could anyone hear it through the Crumbie stand floor-boards? :smt045

Re: TEAM'S UP FOR LEEDS!

GS wrote I have to raise a little concern about the strength in depth of the front row. Thought our scrum (especially front-row) hammered them yesterday, all match, subs or no subs - so we have new players coming through - something to be pleased about, no? And the ovations for the front rowers as ...

Re: Cat stand atmosphere

I was in the Cat stand as usual yesterday. It was a flat atmosphere, by comparison to other matches this season, but then it seemed the same for the whole ground (despite a surpirisingly good crowd of 18½k). As I've said in previous threads the new stand needs to find its voice (and does ocaasionall...

Re: When is a tackle a tackle?

Not only was Kearney's 'tackle' on Elsom illegal it was clearly ineffective. I reckon if he had bound onto Elsom, ie made a legal tackle, he had a far better chance of getting Elsom into touch and/or preventing the try.

Re: A Call for Banter

There you go - I knew the art of Banter was not yet dead at WR, just temporarily lost from the new stand.

So, what should we expect of the Saffas or (even better?) the Dragons fans?

A Call for Banter

My fond memories of the old stand are gradually receding, (its an age thing I know), and actually I think the new stand is excellent, however one thing I have noticed is that the crowd havent really 'settled in' to their old ways. Where's the witty repartee I remember we used to get in the old stand...

Re: Not-Nots vs Leicester

Sarries will falter once they get to play a decent team So playing (and beating) two of the other three in the top four (Irish and Saints), as well as a resurgent Newcastle, Away (not a fixture we tend to do very well at), doesnt count as playing very good teams? Ahem. We've played three of the sam...

Re: And the new Goode/Varndell is here!

I worry about Staunton too. He is one bad knock away from leaving us looking very exposed at 10. Dont count on Floody or Vesty just yet, (no hint of even a return to bench or development duty and wont be match-fit for a while after that) and is 36 really gonna be able to control a game, even given h...
