Re: Ref for Sunday

Also just found out that he refereed the Newcastle v Gloucester game last week. Apparently "Dean Richards refused to blame referee Tom Foley for Newcastle Falcons' 39-27 loss to Gloucester, hammering the discipline of his own players", Billy Twelvetrees slotted 9 penalties as a result. Ti...

Re: Monye on Rugby Tonight

Most ex-players/competitors in all sports start off being pretty poor when on a "chat" show, as opposed to being "expert" commentator. Many improve tremendously, with the notable exception of a certain Mr Healey who has been knowledgeable and obnoxious in equal measure all the ti...

Not to mention dailywaffle. Although I think it was more bile and poison that led to his(?) silence.

Re: I am worried

First game of the season, 5 new players starting along with some youngsters against a London Irish team with a new coaching setup. We have gone away and come back with 4 points, unlike Northampton, Exeter and Wasps. Is that good enough for you?! No sorry Ellis9 its not good enough. I made the mista...

Re: Lancaster's culture

The Sunday Times Sports section does a bit of a hatchet job on Slancaster today - thoroughly deserved in my view. Interesting to read that several of the players were not that impressed with him. As an aside, I do hope that at least one Northern hemisphere side can make it into the semis. Ireland l...

Re: Tigers need to up the season ticket game...

Sheesh! I never said I wanted to go to Ricoh. What I was pointing out is that they are creating value for those who do. The arrival of a second club within 20 miles should driver tigers to deliver better value or differentiate. Just because we think we're the best doesn't mean we are. Blinkered men...

Don't forget Noddy555! Without knowing a particular persons age, he was demanding that they show respect for their "elders and betters" so he must be older than everyone.

Re: The CAT is leaving

Presume the kit design will stay the same, but re-issued with another name(s)? What? And miss the chance to fleece fans for more new kit? Fat chance :smt010 :smt002 The deal ends at the end of the season. The kit will stay the same until then. Agreed, but that is not what was being discussed. In yo...

Re: new season ticket help

In my experience the ticket office are one of the more competent and helpful parts of Tigers operation. To issue new season tcikets to all season ticket holders in the space of 7 days may prove to be challenging. As may getting new turnstiles to operate! KEEP THE FAITH! I doubt they will be replaci...

Re: Citings taking the gloss off proceedings......

Nice summary here http://www.planetrugby.com/news/disciplinary-farce-hurts-rwc-credibility/ I would say that this is moving away from the OP. Tigercaspian seems to be arguing against having bans imposed on players, in other words he is questioning the actual laws. The article is looking at the appl...

Re: Citings taking the gloss off proceedings......

I will admit to not having researched every incident but with Tuilagi's ban, and the bans handed out to Irish & Scottish players in the last 24 hours, is the tournament in danger of losing the basic idea that the best players should be opposing each other? Particularly when the two Scots player...

Re: 6 Nations Squad

I disagree about Robshaw looking brilliant at 7 even for Toulon. Armitage is a part of what makes Toulon what they are, take him out and replace him with Robshaw then that changes dramatically and with it would Toulon. If Salvi had Armitage's dynamism then perhaps it wouldn't be below par as you su...
