Re: Squad sizes capped??

As mentioned above the number 73 for Bath includes both senior and academy players.

Still quite high and at the top end but likely no worse than Quins in terms of senior squad.

Proposal seems reasonable to me and surprised it wasn't a thing already.

Re: Tigers v Stade Francais (A) - Champions Cup - Sunday 17th December 2023 - KO:5-30pm

I am of a mind that you try your best in both competitions until one or other becomes clearly a better bet. That is to say injuries, good/bad at the office, luck, decisions, what other teams do, can all impact games/results. So for me you hedge your bets until later in the season when perhaps we hav...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle Falcons (H) - Premiership - Sunday 3rd December 2023 - KO: 3-00pm

Tigers clearly decided that they could decouple attendance related catering revenue income by contracting it out instead for a non revenue based fixed regular income. Is that true? If so then it seems a difficult relationship to manage. The contractor will clearly want to max their revenue but Tige...

Re: New Supporters Forum?

Ah cool when I think of supporters forum I think of this place.

But, yeah, I'm a bit dumb, they meant the face to face meet up.

Good stuff - hopefully.

Re: Tigers v Newcastle Falcons (H) - Premiership - Sunday 3rd December 2023 - KO: 3-00pm

In simple terms you would have thought that Tigers would be looking to maximise venue catering revenues. And you would have thought that those revenues would be intrinsically linked to footfall. That is to say an attendance of 20k would have a proportionate increase from that of 15k. In general term...

Re: Wayne Barnes

I'm also talking about players not idiots on social media who would dare say anything if face to face. The conversation has drifted around a little but part of the conversation was about Barnes and Foley getting abused (mostly on social media) I believe. Hence, partly or wholly why they are quittin...

Re: Return of Champions Cup - Tigers v Stormers - Sunday 10th December 2023

I’m not entirely sure what your point is. Football teams do put out weakened sides in dead rubbers or their 3rd tier cup (EFL) but they don’t lose their best players for 4 months of their domestic season. People were discussing the Stormers putting out a B team and you suggested that didn't happen ...

Re: Wayne Barnes

I have great respect for the job of refs but in football I find them to be arrogantly dismissive especially compared to the Rugby counterparts. #1 - you've literally just done it again - made a statement that suggests they deserve the lack of respect and abuse they get. #2 - rugby refs are getting ...

Re: Return of Champions Cup - Tigers v Stormers - Sunday 10th December 2023

Let’s face it, Rugby is pretty impenetrable to the average sports fan Not sure that's totally true tbh. I'll grant you there are some specifics that can confuse but you can get the gist and watch the general flow pretty easy. I once sat with my dad watching NFL and had to try and explain what was g...

I've said it for years, football refs don't help themselves And that statement there is why there is a problem. please elaborate... Essentially you are saying they deserve the abuse. You might not think that is what you are saying - but you are. I've had to work with people I don't like or people t...

Seems to me the supporters have gone soft.
