Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

For me the Newcastle scrum had Diamond's fingerprints all over it, he knows Dickson has neither the knowledge or the nouse to see the early push, the angled shove and the classic Diamond shuffle (also known as wheeling). Every team he coaches have the same play book, credit to him as they seem to w...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Kelly hasn't really played well at 12 since his injury in the title winning season, given our issues on the wing Kata at 14 is becoming a bigger option but with the need to get Shillcock into the side in support of Pollard I would think Steward would slide over to the wing

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Sounds like the cap is only going up a season then back down potentially. If so it does make you wonder if this player limit will actually come in. If it's going up for one season, what's the point? (Not having a go at you at all, by the way) It's only going to put the clubs in more of a pickle in ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

I thought Illione should have come on far far earlier last night he only got on about 30 seconds before the Clare yellow. Side note I noticed when Clare returned Phil C returned too as Montoya went back off, but Phil C went off to allow Cronin to return, what are the rules around this> I would have ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Just watching it back, Dickson was desperate to bin some of our players towards the end, he was far to pally and chatty all game with the Newcastle players in a way he wasn't with ours. Which at the least isn't a good look. We need to find a way to have Shillcock and Pollard in the team together. Po...

I hope Kelly returns to form. Kata is great but his impact off the bench is missed. Perese starting at 13 and then Kata off the bench would be so good Could try Steward in the centres to make room for Shillcock as the additional playmaker and kicker at 15...? Hope you've got your tin hat ready...

Darc Tiger wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:46 pm Shillcock is a 15, by the way. Maybe we should let Kieran Wilkinson have a crack at the Polly understudy.
That's why I never liked us letting Atkinson go, we need a proper 10 as cover

What’s getting behind a joke is opinions like this that seem to think there’s some sort of deliberate policy to injure players. Maybe he’s just another Manu, or Anthony Watson. Or Mark Wood if you follow cricket. when he chooses to play someone he knows already has an injury or leave them on when a...

other clubs should take advantage of this with Newcastle, loan them a young player that's just about ready for Prem rugby that you are already stacked in depth wise, could do wonders for someone like Lewis Chessum if we signed a couple of locks for example. though with the cap that may complicate th...
