Re: Arriva Buses and New Year's Day travel

.......be aware that the main rail line is closed on New Years Day north of Leicester and if you're travelling from the Loughborough or Melton direction it's a rail replacement bus service for the journey on to London Road station..

Re: Rugby Club and George Ford

Since A Cruden has been mentioned the Hurricanes website quotes him as 185cm and 84 kg which if ther website and my maths are correct is 6'1" and 13st 3lb which in my book is more than slightly bigger than George......... & for those upset by Rugby Club just use the off switch.

Re: Rugby Club and George Ford

As has been mentioned it comes down to size. Saw him play against brother Joe (6ft) at Leeds a couple of seasons ago and George looked very much the kid brother. He's bulked up since but can still be targeted by big back rows and inside centres to run in his channel, e.g the recent Saracens game. De...

Re: EXETER CHIEFS LV CUP GAME

'In September, Cornish Pirates announced they had agreed to a three-month loan deal for Ben to go to Leicester Tigers as temporary cover for injured England international locks Geoff Parling and Louis Deacon' .......so may be he's gone back. Re availability if you think the Exeter game is a problem ...

Re: Who is the favourite for our HC cup group?

Having read this on the Scarlets website USAP look favourites; " The region confirmed that centre Regan King would be out for two to six weeks with a calf injury. Hooker Ken Owens had an operation on his neck early last week and would be out for three to four months. George North is progressing...

Re: Bargain Train Travel to Leeds Feb 13th

Couple of things. Think East Coast rail is direct from Huntingdon only cos of engineering works south of there - so the no changes journey could be a one off. ....and for those buying tickets (like me) on the day allow time to queue at the small ticket office as cash is not taken at the turnstiles.

Re: Who is the favourite for our HC cup group?

With the kick off times at the weekend being as they are, by Sat evening, as only ST can progress from Pool 6 on Sun, apart from Perpignan, Leicester will know what they need to do and where they are likely to finish in the order - chance to influence who their 1/4 final opponents will be - e.g. Sai...

Re: Youngs " shushing" try celebration ?

Mention of Leon reminds me that at Parc des Princes on the 'great day' you will have seen him put his finger to his lips and 'shush' after scoring.

Re: Attendance at Parc Y Scarlets

As I understand it capacity is 14870, attendance yesterday 12392; disappointing for the Club I'd think as it was being billed as the biggest game for 3 years. The local Derby against Ospreys last Oct was watched by more,13700 I think but still not capacity. Llanelli has a big hinterland in West Wale...

Re: Hats off to the Crumbie Terrace fans

Not a night for hats off on the Terrace last night, another wet one. Until the last 15 minutes a damp squib of a performance and without the glow of a win to dry us out on the way home....not to mention East Midlands trains compounding the misery so that I got home at 0115.!!!!

Re: Franch Top 14 Day 11

Tks for the summary of the weekend's games. Not sure you're right about Montpellier's win though. Was at Jean Dauger Sat pm and if Huget the Bayonne centre had not knocked on sliding over the try line and the hooker overthrown an attcking 5 metre lineout the score with mins to go might have been 32-...
