Borthwick arrival
This was in the Rugby Paper some time ago: "The reason Steve Borthwick hasn’t joined Leicester Tigers yet. Steve Borthwick’s move to Leicester has been delayed as the Tigers season continues to go downhill. The 39-year-old’s anticipated move to Welford Road was expected to take place after the ...

Re: Sarries vs Leicester - Teams Up
With Mako Vunipola starting at loose-head, I'd rather see Coley starting at tight-head for us. He's always had the better of Vunipola in previous encounters.

Coronavirus: Sarries know best!
"No, the RFU aren't following the advice. They are being over cautious, probably because the hit of canceling an international game is much worse than a league game. But don't let that stop you from bashing Sarries at any opportunity for no reason." You make no sense. If the RFU was being ...

Murphy's "vision".
Dingdong: no one is belittling the Challenge cup, but this club stands and falls by the premiership, and, in the end, those results are all that count. To anyone who wonders what Murphy's job will be as DoR, he has stated "my remit is, and will continue to be, team selection." I have not b...

Sad to see him go; yet another former Tiger who will play well against us when he comes to Welford Road. How many can you think of?

Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020
What an utterly inept performance. Tigers are already playing like a (poor) championship side. Dai Young is eased out after a dip in Wasps' fortunes; Murphy is promoted after the worst coaching record in Premiership history! Unless Steve Borthwick can work a miracle, the reprieve will mean nothing, ...

Re: IS this season a waste of money and time
This is a critical season for Tigers; we have been given a reprieve, and have only the remainder of the season to make sure we're not in the same position next year. Taking Murphy's hand off control of the day-to-day coaching, and having someone of Borthwick's class, gives us a fighting chance. But,...

Do you think they had heard the rumours about doing away with relegation?

Latest rumours suggest that Sarries will approach JM as soon as they can legally do so in the new year. Sources: The Rugby Paper, and Gloucestershire LIve.

Re: Trouble at mill - May to go?
"I think your massively over reading this, i'm pretty sure it means there's too much cap tied up in the wrong areas due to some shortsightedness particularly during the MOC period" Thanks for that. Assuming, God forbid!, that the cap has not been exceeded, I'd still like to understand what...

Trouble at mill - May to go?
"The club needs to rebuild, and pay cuts are on the way." Could someone please explain what "rebuilding" means in this context? And why, on-field performance aside, has it suddenly become necessary? Attendances have been dropping off, unsurprisingly; is this connected to a fall i...

Re: Murphy coaches and relegation
Never believed GM was up to the job. The management does not seem motivated to take the necessary action, to bring in someone of class. My deepest concern is, that when some of our top player's contracts are up for renewal, they'll walk!

Saints derby
Half-time, and I'm dreading the second half! They are running through us as if we are not there. A squad of good players, poorly coached.

Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers
Looks as if, with the exception of Gengey, GM is, quite rightly, taking the league more seriously than the Challenge Cup. We'll never need our top players more than for this coming season.
