Historical Tigers

It is likely that it may have been done before but I am new to the fans forum and I was wondering if those more informed than myself could name their favourite Tigers of all time and give us some history on the players they list for us younger members who might not know about them.

Re: Tigers Ladies?

Oh, Ok, thanks for the info.
That's a shame as I am led to believe it's becoming quite popular.
I watched bits of the WWC on T.V earlier this year and it wasn't bad stuff, quite enjoyed it at times in fact!

Tigers Ladies?

Isn't it about time Tigers set up a womens side?
As the biggest club in the country I'd like to see us leading the way forward.
I think Sarries have one and look how their male counterparts have risen so what about us?

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?

Some just don't get it!
I'd rather keep a possible future diamond as back up than a couple of below par players who have had more than a fair chance to shine.

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?

Totally understand your thoughts Tigerblood! It's very difficult for the young lads as on top of getting an education and trying to impress the people that matter on the few occasions they can they are also used as cannon fodder. It's a very intimidating place at times on the pitch and when you are ...

Re: The World Cup - Your England XV

Locks don't necessarily have to be heavy but they have to be heavy enough, Croft ain't.
I wouldn't pick Haskell, a glory hunter with white line fever. I saw him stand and watch as one of his teammates lay on the floor getting a shoeing once at Wasps.

Re: The World Cup - Your England XV

Robshaw? Chris Robshaw?? in the second row??? Yep! I would try it just to see if we can get a more mobile pack! He is a big strong heavy lad at nearly 18 stone for a back row and he is very powerful around the field and the lock position next to Lawes has become a bit of a problem for England to fil...

Re: The World Cup - Your England XV

Ahhhh 12T!
12.12T 13.Manu
If only it was possible!

Croft I like but Robshaw I fear.
I might put Wood at 8 and bring Croft in but would have to lose Waldrom to do that and I think Croft could be a awesome player to have on for the last 20 minutes against anyone.

Re: The World Cup - Your England XV

Fussy! 1.Stevens 2.Hartley 3.Cole 4.Lawes 5.Robshaw 6.Wood 7.Moody 8.Waldrom 9.Youngs 10.Wilko 11.Ashton 12.Manu 13.Banahan 14.Sharples 15.Foden Yes I would have Manu at 12 for England! Why? Because I don't think that there is anyone else that we can win the World Cup with at inside centre. Wilkinso...

Varndell, I loved seeing the young ladies jumping up and down shouting 'Tom, Tom' when he was stood on his wing.

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?

Something does need doing but the problem is that the people on the inside of the club are THE PROBLEM. They have their little circle of trust and will not allow anyone into it who may have the courage to stand up to them, why else do you think Dusty got fed up and moved on. He must have saw all thi...

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?

I don't think the first team coaches see an awful lot of the academy. I don't think they trust the system at present and you can't blame them, after all they are responsible for their own positions and don't have time to do others jobs for them. Many coaches and scouts are too busy looking for athle...

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?

Maybe the academy isn't being fed as well as it should be for a club of Leicester's stature. The Elite Player Development Groups based at each club pick players up and supply the academy with it's players from U14 age group and train them for 3 seasons before they get to the academy. As far as I kno...
