Re: Teams up v Saracens
Slater was coming through the middle, which is legal, or the laws say that it is. But tbh if the referee gives a try, when not even the Chiefs thought that they had scored, there isn't much chance for him to get other things right.

Re: Teams up v Saracens
Our defence of the rolling maul has been poor for some time. Against Chiefs, the one from which they scored the first try, there were Tigers players joining from the side and driving sideways, instead of the back.
No wonder we lost!

I would suggest that it is he who signs the cheques, and that is above our DoR!

Player Development.
Watching yesterday's Quin's game, it was commented that all of their pack, that were on the pitch, were graduates of their Academy., or home grown. Well done to them! However, what happened to our youngsters. Our current first choice 8 has a max of 2 home grown players. Is it due to a lack of talent...

Re: Exeter v Tigers - 24th December 2016
I don't know where the rubbish about Genge's scrummaging is coming from, as I remember he was directly penalised for taking it down, when it was Tigers put in, and we were going forwards. Perhaps it was Francis binding on his arm that caused it to go down! Does anyone know why Waldrom was not binned...

Re: Tackling players in the air
As an ex prop, I really don't understand all this talk about running and jumping. Seriously though, as several posters have already stated, the rules are already there to protect players. It is reckless and dangerous to run at pace, with your eyes on the ball, and then to jump into the air, so riski...

Re: Ticket prices- view of an ex season ticket holder
Leicester Tigers STHs, as with many sports, are from many different areas of society. Some are wealthy, and can afford to pay much higher prices for comfortable seats and hospitality. Some are less well off, and can only afford standing. To me it doesn't matter, as I view my ST as good value as I ch...

Personally, I would go with FB's attacking bias at 10, with OW at fullback, with his siege gun boots. Bearing in mind, I don't know if he has played at fullback before!

Re: Is it now time to thank Cockers?
Chewbacca, I believe it's down to motivational failure, but that certainly could be as a result of organisational failure. Thinking about it we have lost many good players over the last few seasons, where the club would surely have been stronger if they had stayed. The rumours with several of these ...

Re: Is it now time to thank Cockers?
Iceman-19, I think you have got it about right. I watched the game again last night, and it was obvious that Munster wanted it more. I am not saying that Tigers didn't, but Munster had that drive and belief, that they would win every contact. I don't think that their players are any better than ours...

Re: Ben Youngs
One thing I do believe is totally wrong is that England play a week before the Champions Cup, giving no time for players to get used to playing with their clubs. I know an answer will be for the clubs to rest them, but I believe it was wrong, very poor planning by the RFU.

This was clear on the screen though. He wasn't moving at all. Surely their medics would have noticed that as they ran up to him, even though they were trying to avoid the handbags after the tackle/ non-tackle.

Re: The Local Derby v Saints!
I met with an ex-colleague today who is a Saints fan, but rarely goes to matches due to work commitments. He felt Leicester missed a real chance to go for a demoralising, for Saints, bonus point win. He felt that they had dragged Leicester into an arm wrestle, as they offered little in attack. He wa...

Don't the medics have iPads, or similar, so that they can review the incidents?

Re: The Local Derby v Saints!
I am a loss Sibarite why you believe that values and tradition that are part of Rugby are so wrong. I have no problem with singing, but it's the use of foul language that I dislike. For one it is offensive, and secondly it is illegal. A few years ago I also used to go to Leicester City matches, and ...
