We had the best of TV. His injuries during his time with us, especially his ankle, significantly reduced his jinking step.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 12:26 pm Will be nice to see Telusa in England again, though I can't help but think his career didn't kick on the way his talent deserved.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 Squad and transfers thread part 2: The Lion, the Wig and the Wardrobe
Does seem that Irish are set to fall. I guess 10 team league would mean less clashing with England right? We'd have the choice of either no clashes during 6N period (inc. rest week pre tournament) OR not clashing with RWC at all plus removing one clash week of the 6N. If we said the only rationale ...

Re: Champions Cup Final
Pellsey scrum feeds were mentioned. Barnes also commented on the balls ability to record exactly where it crosses the touch line and cited JVP kick at the end of the Sale game where the ball went dead, with Tigers staff saying it didn’t and Sale saying it did. Also help with any goal kicks that may...

I’ve a hazy memory of Potter wanting to play for England a year or 2 ago (I have hazy memories of most things to be honest), so if he heads back for international honours, I hope it won’t be as a one cap wonder. Eddie does have a history of tagging and bagging dual nationality players.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Not the end. A big challenge, but not the end. I can imagine there are a few that are now more willing to consider a form of franchise and central support than there were a year or 2 ago.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Seems like some want rugby to cut off its nose to spite its face. The logo and the name still have value. Value that can benefit the rest of professional rugby in England, including Tigers. Unless we can replace the two clubs in the Premiership, there'll be less TV money on offer next time it's up ...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Wasps had an average attendance of about 10k, there isn't a single Championship club that would come close to replacing that. The name also means something to casual fans, and the brand is easier to sell to TV companies than Ealing or Jersey would be. Let's face it, we're all better off if Wasps an...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
I think they're proposing the same for Worcester. I get it's unfair on previous clubs that went bust, but if there are these "brands" with good followings, then rugby needs to do everything it can to keep them going or resurrect them. Since when did Wasps have a good following? Just stink...

Re: Champions Cup Final
The infringements at the ruck were so many and varied, it was hard to keep up. So much was missed, ordinarily you’d expect the clear out that led to Bougerit clutching his chin would be looked at, but no. Wouldn’t be surprised if the expectation was that if you keep the pace up, the officials won’t ...

And a franchise? :smt009 Franchises may be part of the wider discussion regarding survival of the clubs in the new structure, a mechanism by which greater central funding can be allocated. There’s probably so much uncertainty floating about, those involved are considering previously unacceptable st...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Hard to see why Wasps are being treated differently to all the other clubs that have failed. Why the special relationship? Simply friends in high places?
